Discovery Princess Overview

Discovery Princess will be the sixth -- and final -- cruise ship in Princess Cruises' Royal-class of ship. It is scheduled to launch in the Mediterranean in November 2021.

The ship will offer many of the line's signature experiences, including the adults-only Sanctuary, three-deck-high Piazza atrium and Movies Under the Stars. It will also have Sky Suites, which feature the line's largest balconies. It will also be fully equipped with OceanMedallion.

Princess promises Discovery Princess will also feature "an evolution" of the line's previous Royal-class ships, so we can expect to see at least one or two new-to-the-line offerings.

In its first year of operation, Discovery Princess will offer sailings in Europe, the Caribbean, South America, Mexico and along the California Coast. It will sail from Fort Lauderdale when doing Caribbean sailings and from Los Angeles when doing Mexican Riviera and California Coast sailings.

Discovery Princess is under construction at the Fincantieri shipyard in Monfalcone, Italy.
