Although Marella Dream has six grand suites and five suites, measuring 430 square feet and 376 square feet respectively, the vast majority of the accommodations are inside and outside cabins, graded according to position. Insides range from 129 to 139 square feet, and outside cabins start from 129 square feet. Larger "deluxe" cabins are 215 square feet. The "outside plus" cabins, measuring 161 square feet, are midship on Decks 5, 6, 7, 9 and 10, with standard outside cabins fore and aft on Decks 4, 5, 6 and 7, where floor area may shrink slightly as the ship narrows. Larger cabins midship on 5 and 6 can accommodate up to four passengers, while some of those on 7 and 9 can carry three. There's a total of 501 outside cabins and 252 inside cabins; 19 are single cabins (outside on 4, 5 and 7). Four cabins (two each on 9 and 10) are suitable for wheelchair users. Forward cabins on Decks 4 and 5 are fitted with portholes; most other outside cabins have windows, with those in the newer midship section (fitted in 1990) being larger than elsewhere on the ship.

The refit provided refreshed soft furnishings, curtains and decor, and cabins are now fitted with flat-screen TV's. Mini-bars, tea- and coffee-making facilities, and safes (chargeable at £15 per week or £25 for two weeks) are standard. Wardrobe and shelf/drawer storage space is perfectly adequate for cruises of up to two weeks, as many passengers book back-to-back seven-night cruises in the Caribbean and Mediterranean seasons. Bathrooms are compact modules, each with a shower and shower curtain in lower grades, and an over-bath shower in the larger outside cabins. Blond wood fittings in the inside accommodation help give a lighter, airier feel than the outside cabins.
The TV's broadcast a total of 14 channels (two music-only), including Sky News and BBC World News, Sky Sports News and two film channels.
The five suites, on the port side, midship on Deck 7, are each the size of two standard cabins. The grand suites on Deck 11 are the only grade of accommodation that comes with balconies. They have more luxurious bathrooms, larger flat-screen TV's, iPod docking stations and increased storage space. The layout of these staterooms effectively provides an inside bedroom and a separate outside living area.
