There are four dining options onboard Silver Discoverer: The Restaurant (for dinner only), the Discoverer Lounge, the poolside Grill, and the in-suite service, which is available from 6 a.m. to 11 p.m. Menus are inspired by Relais & Chateax, Silversea's culinary partner.
Breakfast, lunch and dinner are served at the Grill. Lunch includes light dishes like pizza and, for dinner, fresh seafood and prime cuts are grilled on a heated volcanic rock plate.
Breakfast and lunch buffets are also served in the Discoverer Lounge. Hot and cold dishes are available; a sample lunch menu includes soup, pasta and entrees like Malaysian curry, seafood and chicken. The cold buffet has assorted sushi and sashimi, seafood, cold cuts and a selection of salads.
The Restaurant serves contemporary, international cuisine with menus featuring local specialties. It's an elegant but casual space, and there are no fixed seating times or table allocations. It's open for dinner from 7 p.m., and there are tables for two, four, six and eight people. A sample "La Collection du Monde" menu suggestion comprises Carpaccio di Manzo (beef capaccio served with fresh arugula, basil, celery, walnuts and parmesan shavings), crunchy fried tiger prawns with citrus emulsion, and grilled sea bass with smoked eel and celeriac cream infusion. Vegetarian options are always available, and the chef will always try to accommodate requests for simpler fare like chicken, steak and salmon.
Passengers can order a selection of light dishes for breakfast, lunch or dinner from the in-suite dining menu and dinner from The Restaurant menu. Room service is available from 6 a.m. to 11 p.m.
