We chose cruise because of destinations we hadn’t been to, 3 of which were cancelled or changed. We emailed our disappointment but the company didn’t even have the courtesy to reply!!
Why on a luxurious ship are there no automatic doors in public places? Other ships have them so it can’t be due to weather conditions. It’s a hygiene issue
Biggest niggle is the designated smoking area on deck ...
We chose Iceland as we had not been there before . It sounded great but in reality the places we visited were dull . The waterfalls were lovely but we did not have the opportunity to visit any volcanoes or geysers . Reykjavík was only visited on the morning before our flight home . No visit to the Blue Lagoon . The ship was beautiful . Food very disappointing . We had the best meals in SETI Mari . ...
Chose this cruise as wanting to do Iceland and everyday is a different port.
However, once money paid, a sea day was miraculously introduced, with no explanation why one port was no longer part of the trip. one and a half day in Runavik with not much to do, so not sure why and the next port was cancelled due to bad weather (had we not stay in Runavik for 1.5 days we would have avoided the bad ...
We mostly chose this cruise for the amazing itinerary. Iceland, Norway, Shetland Islands, Amsterdam and Bruges Belgium which did not disappoint. The crew was absolutely amazing, they just couldn’t do enough for us and we’re always asking if there was anything else we needed or wanted. Many knew our names a drink preferences by the third day. We were treated like royalty. Voyager is 23 years old ...
We had wanted to try a Regent cruise for a long time and had actually booked one in 2011 but I ended up in the hospital and we had to cancel. So when we decided on a British Islands trip we decided that this was the one to fulfill that long postponed desire. We went with the concierge suite for the extra hotel day in Reykjavik which we did enjoy ( although the excursion we went on was longer ...
We chose this cruise partly because of the reviews and partly because it went to a few places that we have not been before.
First, the good:
They had an excellent lecturer aboard and I thought his presentation was phenomenal.
They had one great restaurant: Chartreuse, for French, but you can only book it once.
The suite was adequate, lots of drawer space. The seating area could be ...
This cruise took us from Iceland, through the Faroe and Shetland Islands, to Norway, Sweden, and ending in Copenhagen. What a wonderful experience - we will find it difficult to “go back” to regular cruising. The service was outstanding, drinks were generous and ubiquitous, our cabin was so luxurious that we didn’t mind spending time in it, excursions were informative and geared to the ...
Fortunately for us our inclusive pre-cruise hotel in Reykjavik was in a great location in the old town, however talking to many of our fellow passengers it appears we were very lucky and most were in hotels some distance from the city centre.
Taking advantage of our pre-cruise time we took a privately arranged Golden Circle Tour, which despite the so-so weather was an amazing day out giving a ...
Hi CheshireLady2014. We are happy to hear that you found your second cruise aboard Seven Seas Explorer to be even more enjoyable than the first. We appreciate your feedback and trust that...
We have sailed on Regent going back to when they were Radisson, ( Pre-Regent days), and thought they were excellent. We last enjoyed them a year ago in Alaska, and we were looking forward to sailing on their new ship the Explorer. Advertised as the most luxurious ship a-float, we thought this would be the ultimate in Regent Cruising. Suffice it to say I assume that the cost of the ship and its ...
We chose this cruise due to its unique Itinerary. We've had enough of St. Petersburg, which dominates the other Scandinavian cruises. We had never been to Iceland, the Faroe Islands or the Shetland Islands, or most of the other stops in Norway, Denmark or Sweden. My wife has never seen Norway. We loved Explorer during our Panama Canal New Year's cruise at the beginning of the year. It sails ...
Hi JPR and thank you for your recent review. We are happy to hear that your return to your favorite ship, Seven Seas Explorer, was an enjoyable one. We thank you for bringing awareness to...
