We went to Virgin Gorda a few years ago and since my husband is blind the cab driver suggested I think it was called Spring Bay. It had the huge boulders and beautiful calm pools of water. The walk down the trail to the beach was not bad at all. There are no facilities except a port a potty. There were few people there (a few from our Azamara ship). It was one of my favorite stops ever. On the same cruise we stopped at St. Bart’s and walked through town to a beach - maybe a 20 minute walk. You can walk by all the yachts and check out the shops. The beach was very rocky and I don’t remember lounge chairs being available. I believe there was a restaurant close by.

Just starting to do some more detailed planning for the ports. Hope there is some experience to share.
We would like to go back to the Baths. Can we just get a taxi from where the tender drops us?
Gustavia, I think we can walk through the town and swim at a beach on the other side.
Any thoughts on other ports would be appreciated.

We just booked The Atrium for our pre cruise nights, there was a great discount through AAA. Staying at Holland House for one night when we get back. I’m starting to look at things to do in port- we are getting excited!
LTCOP September 24, 2018 10:46 amHi, Facing the water on the right down the beach/boardwalk maybe 100 yds, there is a dock, you can not miss it. A water ferry goes to the cruise port. We are carry on people, we never check our bags, on the water ferry there is never a problem. The walk to the ferry is a bit longer than by getting there by cab and you have to go up a ramp. Therefore traveling light is much easier. When you get to the Holland House walk over there and ask about suitcase size. It is a pretty way of getting there and much cheaper. Have a great cruise.
Thanks Strenz for the info! Sounds like a great way to go to the ship!

I do think the private event in the Caribbean is the beach picnic. With the exception of the Ephesus dinner in Turkey I do not think there are any more private events. We loved them, it is too bad. The beach picnic has been an event as long as we have been cruising with WS that is 1999. For us it never gets old. Happy Sailing
