The ports-of-call were perfect. Monaco was a highlight as was Barcelona and the Montserrat Abbey. We are so happy there was a late cancellation, and we were able to grab an awesome itinerary. As always, Viking delivers. The suite was wonderful. Breakfasts at World Cafe are always better than any other cruise line. Excursions are the best.
Monaco and Sète in particular were over the top. ...
Wanted to visit parts of Italy we had seen before and added southern France and Barcelona. Weather impacted two days of excursions but the staff offered reasonable alternatives with very short notice. Food on board was excellent in the main restaurants. We did not get to sample the Chef’s Table nor Manfrddi’s specialty restaurants because they were fully booked before we could make a ...
We chose this cruise to visit more European sites and we liked the itenerary. The Viking Jupiter is an exquisite sailing vessel and has all the amenities your could ask for. The staff is attentive and helpful but while still giving you space and privacy. The food is 5-star quality. The nightly entertainment was diverse and well performed. We enjoyed the on-board NASA scientist and his nightly ...
We chose this cruise because we considered it would be a step up from the typical large ship pandemonium. We wanted adults, few pool games, less hysteria at food buffets and just an overall cleaner, calmer experience. We were not disappointed.
Since we wanted to spend a few days getting used to the time change in advance, we selected the pre-cruise extension - Ultimate Italy. This was three ...
Wanted to visit several countries in a short period of time. A taste of southern Europe so to speak. Everything about this company, ship and service were top notch. The cabin gave us everything we needed. We spent a minimal amount of time there. The Dining was exceptional: Buffet was of high quality, the main dining was gourmet and the other "price included" restaurants were fantastic. The ...
The Viking Jupiter is lovely, lovely new ship. I believe we were its third sailing. Since the ship carries less than 1000 passengers I was surprised how big it was when we first pulled up in Civitavecchia. After being on board a couple of days you realize that the size for that number of passengers results in many public spaces to relax. In fact, with so many areas for folks to enjoy you get ...
We chose this cruise as our first adventure on Viking. We have been on 13 other previous cruises with other lines and wanted to see how Viking compared. We were blown away at how much we enjoyed literally everything about it.
The device was top-notch. The food was fantastic. Not having to wait in line and deal with hundreds of people at every turn was fabulous. No lines getting on the ship or ...
We celebrated a recent retirement with a "sampler cruise" of ports on the Western Mediterranean. Spent two amazing days in Rome before boarding, staying at the beautiful Marriott Flora hotel. We then were escorted to the ship on a comfortable coach, and welcomed graciously by the ship staff. Once we embarked, we enjoyed stops and excursions in Italy, Monaco, France and Spain. All accommodations on ...
We chose this Ocean Cruise because we had never cruised with Viking Oceans and specifically because we wanted to revisit Florence, Monte Carlo, and Barcelona. As we began planning for and talking about the cruise, friends from our (American) city who had never traveled with Viking decided to join us and friends from Britain whom we had met on a prior river cruise also decided to join us. That is ...
We went with two other couples and had a wonderful experience. The ship was beautiful and all staff were well prepared to meet our every need. Our excursions were led by well informed guides who could answer every question. We went on all included tours and some optional ones. You just couldn't get enough of the beautiful views. Bottled water was given each time you left ship and the welcomed hot ...
