We are experienced cruisers, and LOVED this ship. We had read mixed reviews and decided to see for ourselves, and we were blown away. We had been on all of the Oasis class ships (with exception to Wonder), and in the end, this might be our favorte ship of all.
Clean! One of the cleanest ships we have been on.
The crew were fantastic! From our cabin steward, to dining staff, the rec ...
Booked an Alaska cruise without knowing much about the ship, but we absolutely loved the Quantum. Was our second Royal cruise. The first was on the Harmony, which we weren’t fond of. The Quantum is smaller, but has everything one could want on a cruise! It’s a beautiful ship and appeared well maintained. The service and food were excellent, with staff members who were kind and hard working. Loved ...
I always choose Cruising as a way of unwinding and letting someone else take care of me for a week.
Royal Caribbean never disappoints they are always ready to take care of your every need from an extra pillow to a gourmet meal. Ovation was no exception. The ship is majestic! The food and service sublime.
Start off with coffee and a feast for breakfast at the Windjammer. If you ...
RCL-Ovations of the Seas
July 28, 2023
My first cruise since the Covid Pandemic changed the world.
The hard part how do I sum up an outstanding couple of weeks into a short review? I do not know, but here goes.
I have traveled by cruise ship several times over the years and I must say that The Ovations of the Seas was not a disappointment, this ship is huge (I believe my husband said ...
Booked this cruise to take a large family on an Alaskan Cruise. When choosing which ship to pick, we chose the Brilliance because it is smaller and can get closer to the glaciers. We were somewhat reluctant to pick the Brilliance due to its age. We had sailed on it in 2019 and knew it was probably getting a little old. Well, I'll just say, the ship may be an older ship, but the maintenance ...
We chose this cruise because of the ports of call and weren’t disappointed. I love this size of ship, not overly crowded (except the elevators occasionally when everyone is trying to go to the same place at the same time). The staff (and most of the guests) seemed happy and were friendly. We also enjoyed all the entertainment around the ship. The headliner shows were fabulous and quality ...
My son and I did a back-to-back to Seward Alaska and back on May 19th and May 26th respectively on Radiance of the Seas. So in the course of fourteen days, I got to know the ship fairly well. As always, there are things that were wonderful, and things that were .. less than wonderful. But in the end, another fabulous two cruises on Royal.
First, let me expand on how amazing Alaska is. My son ...
We had a great time on our 7 night Alaska cruise on the Brilliance. This cruise left from Vancouver and went to Sitka, Juneau, Skagway & Haines and Tracy Arms Fiord.
We planned on flying in a couple days earlier but due to my work we flew into Seattle the day before and did some sightseeing and then took the Flixbus to Vancouver to meet ours friends who were joining us on this cruise. Flying ...
This first time experience was phenomenal. My family and I dined in the Minstrel Dining Room and Windjammer Buffet and the food did not disappoint. Special thanks to our waiters Jose and Pawan for entertaining us even while serving, and for not making it dull. The “washy washy” lady as well, and the Romanian head waiter. Mahdi, for showing support and care for us even though we’re only strangers. ...
We had an excellent trip on Brilliance of the Seas. It was the first trip of the season up to Alaska so shops in the ports were just opening up or would be by Mid May. Big bonus - there weren’t any crowds!! We had the ports to ourselves. In Sitka, after the free bus shuttle into the town Centre, you can easily walk to the Raptor Centre, National forest and Russian Bishops House - all well worth ...
