The Old School Ship of the Seas should be the name. The actual ship. Needs a paint job and renovations but has a lot of smiling faces on board with the best customer service.

I would only give this ship 1 star but because of the ports, our room attended and the crew in the casino I give it 3 stars. This was our first Royal Caribbean cruise. We have been on many Carnival ships and decided to join our daughter and family on Royal Caribbean. Unfortunately, the trip didn't start off well. We got to our room and soon as we opened the door to our room we were hit with a ...

We chose this ship as we were very tight on dates and it was a good deal for what we were able to do. The ship is small and old but overall well maintained and rooms (we had a j suite) seem nice enough. The embarkation process was smooth despite I forgot I had "the key" and could have skipped some lines. The staff on board is just amazing: everyone is always silencing, helpful and they ...

Easy, expedited boarding from Galveston at 12pm. We were guided to 9th deck for relaxation and drinks while embarkation was underway. Waiters were hustling trays of pre-made Mai Tais as soon as we sat down. The drinks were watery and only a select few drinks could be purchased without an extra sales tax until we left port. Did not purchase drink package. Thought the $900 fee (3 in our room) was ...

First time with RC, picked cruise because it fit within traveling dates that I needed as well as I was advised RC was better than Carnival which I had previously cruised on. Totally wish I wouldve done better research or sought out honest reviews prior to booking. The ship is older, least bit of my concerns honestly. The activites or lack there of is what left me wanting more/wishing I ...

Old and rusty ship. We called it The Rust Bucket!

This was a 5 day cruise out of Galveston. We had a balcony on the 8th floor. The rooms really need to be updated and renovated. The ship has so much rust in it's exterior that it just looks bad. This is our first time on this ship, we were not impressed at all. I would give this cruise less stars, but the service was wonderful from our room attendant, to the bar waiters, to the service ...

So we chose this cruise because we were traveling with a wide range of cruisers and it was a port drivable from Kansas City. We had ourselves in our 40's on our 8th cruise, my mother-in-law and her sister in their late 60's on their first cruise, and my daughter and her friend who are 18 and 19. Being our 8th cruise and being that our most recent two cruises were on the Harmony of the Seas and ...

This was a family vacation consisting of parents (54 & 53) and daughters (20 & 16). The primary reason for picking this cruise was that it fit a compressed holiday schedule. This was our eighth cruise (4 RCI, 3 Celebrity & 1 Carnival). My wife and I enjoy drinking and prepaid for the Deluxe Drink Package. I also bought the internet Surf & Stream package for 4 devices (cheaper to buy with one ...

We booked this cruise because I had RC Visa points I needed to use, so we got a 4-day cruise for two and had to pay only taxes and port fees. I bought our beverage packages during the Black Friday sale and felt they were a good value for the lowered price. Our main goal was to travel to Cozumel for a private fishing excursion (we used Fishing With Pedro, HIGHLY recommend). We drove to south ...

Badly needs refurbishing!

We chose this cruise/ship because we can drive to Galveston & the price was right. We've cruised with Royal Caribbean (RCI) many times before, including this ship. This was not a highlight for us. The ship badly needs refurbishing, but I found it odd that little things, easy things were not addressed. Flaking paint on public doors, dirty, tarnished, and rusty exposed surfaces inside the ship ...

Was with famliy for a birthday. Was hoping for a relaxing time with fmily and make new friends. Ship was okay... looked nothing like the Carnival Dream that was sailing next to use. Cabin felt small... Dining was above average... shows were average... service was pitiful any question I asked was like pulling teeth from these people... love cozumel ( Sanchos is a must) .. costa maya got me sick... ...
