Just a background on our cruising: We have been cruising with HAL for the past five years. But have been looking for lines going out of the northeast. Our daughter and SIL gave us this trip and we accompanied them to New England and Canada. We have been in inside and veranda cabins, always went to Caribbean, departed out of NY and Port Everglades, ages 63 & 69, husband has slight mobility ...

My daughter and I booked our first cruise as a college graduation gift for her. We have friends & family who have cruised before and we were told we would love it. Well - we were very disappointed. The cruise we took left Baltimore. The date October 4-12. We were told by our travel agent the rooms were nice and had a sofa in the room. First disappointment, upon arriving to our room we found ...

Left for our cruise from Baltimore. Our first full day at sea we encountered some rough waters from the hurricane, Rafael, very rocky, and alot of people were sick, It looked like a boatful of drunk people noone could walk a straight line, Saturday, we arrived in Portland, ME. Weather wasn't good, our excursion was a tour of the city, then a schooner ride, the owner of the boat said there wasn't ...

I have now been on two cruises because my boyfriend's family has included me in their yearly family cruise. Our party consisted of My boyfriend's parents and my boyfriend and I and his brother (we three are in our mid thirties). I was always told that Royal Caribbean is supposed to be the industry best and since my first cruise (which was with Carnival) was so great, I was sure that despite the ...

This was our first cruise the good: We had Grand Suite with large balcony room was nice and the staff was very kind and helpful, food was good, the evenings shows whether magic, comedy or musicals were good. Halifax and Bar Harbour were especially great scenic ports of call. Portland and St Johns were okay, but did not compare. The bad; Music and day time entertainment on ship was dated ...

My review is based on cruising with a mobility limited parent, and hopefully the information will be helpful to someone else. Overall, compared to the level of service we've enjoyed on Carnival, Norwegian and Princess, I was surprised with the lack of service on Royal Caribbean. I thought RCI was supposed to be a notch above the other lines I've sailed. Embarkation was in Baltimore. Flew ...

We enjoyed our time on the Enchantment of the Seas. We found the ship to be in pretty good shape. It will soon go into dry dock and some of the drapery and carpets will be replaced. Our cabin was an outside stateroom and there was plenty of storage space for the two of us. The bathroom shower was very small but the water pressure and temperature were perfect. Our bed springs were squeaky with ...

1st, we live in MD so getting to/from the Port in Baltimore was very convenient for us. We heard there are hotels in the area you can stay the night before and leave your car there at no charge, and the hotel provides free shuttle to/from the Port -- if this helps you. 2nd, we are not foodies, but we took home several food memories: the ship food was very good -- as always, some better than ...

10+ Cruises

We are a couple in our early sixties. This was our 15th cruise and our 3rd on Royal Caribbean. We flew into Baltimore the morning of the cruise and caught a taxi to the port. The taxi was $37.00. We were on the ship in about 30 minuues and our luggage was there when we finished lunch. We were in stateroom 2508 which was right at the front of the ship. The room had plenty of storage space and ...

First let me say the only neg. thing was that the gratuities are a little steep and on every thing. My Sister in law bought the wine package and had a very high gratuity as well as my Wife bought 2 cook books and that was very high also. Getting on the ship was a breeze got to the port at 11:30 was on the ship at noon, but couldn't get to our rooms till 1:30. no real big problem. The cabin was ...
