We sailed on a 12 night from Bayonne, New Jersey April 12th. We stayed in a junior family suite that was nicely appointed and had two bathrooms! This was my 15th cruise so I have a lot to compare this to. I went on the ship with a very open mind about many of the changes and expected that things would be different. Overall, my husband and I enjoyed the cruise and were happy with the service and ...
Arrived at the terminal at 9:42, an hour before my scheduled time. Bags were checked in less than 5 minutes, RFID tags attached. After two prior attempts to visit the Tear Drop Memorial, I was finally able to walk over there (prior construction of terminal stopped me in the past) and reflect. The drive in and Check in was painless, about 5 minutes. Then off to my 'waiting area' where people ...
Embarkment was a breeze. We arrived at the port around 10:30 am. We needed to put our credit card on our account since we were unable to do it online due to a software glitch on the RCC site so after checking in with the representative we walked right on board. We had a scheduled departure time of 11:15 but just as we began walking toward the holding pen they called us. Things were off to a ...
Like many others on the ship, we had booked our sailing nearly 2 years in advance, and were definitely in it for the ship rather than the destinations. I hate to say that the cruise was a disappointment, because we certainly had a great time. However, there was a lot of hype behind the marketing and setup of the Quantum that probably took away from the experience, particularly given our long ...
After reading mostly negative reviews of the Quantum of the Seas sailings it was with a little hesitation that we embarked on our cruise. My husband and I have sailed previously on Rhapsody, Radiance, Voyager, Oasis and Celebrity Solstice as well as other cruise lines so this was not our first rodeo. We are in our late 40s and were travelling with two much older people (late 70s) and a 6yo.
I ...
The ship was beatiful and had a lot going for it; however the Dynamic Dining stinks. The crew, service and food was as usual very good with a lot of choices in each restruant. Having cruised on several different ships in different classes I prefer them over the Quantum; even the Brillance which is one of the smallest was better. Our favorate is the Allure, the Explorer also is a great ship.
I ...
This was our second Quantum cruise, our first was the 11 night 2 February cruise. The February cruise remains one of our favorite cruises, for many reasons, marred only by the incessant, inescapable, whining and complaining of fellow travelers - with little or nothing to complain about. Puzzling at best, because this is a great ship and it was a terrific trip.
Returning in March, the ...
First the positive, check in at Cape Liberty (that location was not available above in port of embarkation) was smooth and efficient. The improved design in the cabin for increased storage is great. Mama Mia was excellent!!
The negatives:
1. The staff on Quantum is the worst I have ever encountered. The staff seemed very unhappy, and I witnessed rude unhelpful behavior on several ...
If You Still Can Cancel Your Reservation on This Ship... it's understaffed, poorly trained crew makes for an awful cruise experience.
I'm a Diamond Member so I've been on a ton of Royal Caribbean cruises and always loved them in the past... until now. I have always praised Royal Caribbean service to the highest to friends and family.
But not anymore, the service on this service was ...
I was excited to book this cruise but concerned by the many negative reviews that I read. Well I had no reason to be concerned. Do not pay attention to the older negative reviews. This ship is amazing and the crew was great. I'll go through some of the highlights:
Staterooms: Wow, they really go this right. We booked a balcony on the 13th floor. The storage is unbelievable. They really nailed ...
