Bad food. Poor quality mass production not quality . Ship well worn and needs major overhaul Chandelier fell on us in Viking lounge first night when leaving Rome Glass all over us. .And the Windows bonded in by Stevie wonder with silicone gun and timber dowels to stop it grinding against metal frame .as they falling out and badly fitted . Tiles missing around tiny pool area. ...

Had a very good offer on an inside cabin so booked..we are actually going on the transatlantic repositioning cruise next month as well. Room was a reasonable size with good storage space, lots of room for all our clothes. The bathroom was a reasonable size. The main dining room was excellent, we had chosen 1st sitting, and our waiters were really good. The standard of meals in the Windjammer ...

Chose this cruise because we have been on this ship twice before. Western Med ( Spain and Portugal). 19th Sept - 2nd Oct 2016. Standards have slipped and prices have risen. A glass of wine was 10 -12 dollars each. A bottle of water was $5. 18% tax added onto all drinks. The cost of tours from the ship were outrageously expensive. They now charge £5 to £10 for shuttle busses from ship ...

Travelled with husband, daughter and her family plus daughters mum in law, so very varied age group, from 3 years to 85! We Like RCI but feel the Navigator did not provide enough quiet lounge type areas just to sit in. Lots of places to sit and drink but these tend to be crowded and noisy. Waiting to be served at bars took some time. Seemed bar staff were very stretched. Dining as always ...

We have always been "loyal to Royal"but they are cutting back so much now that we aren't getting off our cruises feeling like we've been well looked after. We booked a B2B with this first cruise to France, Spain, Portugal to be followed by 7 nights in Norway. We booked an inside cabin which is not something we normally do (but it was meant to be a cheap getaway). Our cabin was as expected, ...

This was our 5th RC cruise and the first sailing from Southampton (and last). From the car park to being on board was around 20 minutes which was quite impressive. This was the ships second cruise following a refit and compared to reviews on its first cruise after refurbishment things seemed to have improved. Dining room & windjammer food quality was up to the usual standards (we are not ...

This ship was exciting and had so many activities that we could not do them all. The service was excellent in all areas and the dining options were enjoyable . We never felt overwhelmed by too many people , including the embarkation, which went smoothly and quickly. The shows wee great and the lounge acts were varied and entertaining, particularly Joe Hollywood in the Schooner Bar. From ...

Sweet Music from Anthem Whereas Quantums leap was more hysterical than historical, there was Sweet Music when Anthem was introduced to the world. What a difference from Quantum's maiden entrance. Don't get me wrong. Both Quantum & Anthem are beautiful ships but whereas there were many many issues & problems with IT & technology on Quantum, RCI had learned from their mistakes (and us guinea ...

We are US citizens, married 59 years, age 80 & 78. We are seasoned cruisers with more than 45 trips on 6 different lines. We are Crown&Anchor Diamond Plus level with RCI. Anthem is impressive in size, barely average when compared to other RCI ships for service, food quality, peace and quiet, and comfort. Technology is the ship's byword. Examples abound like the Itinerary on the in-room tv ...

Maiden Voyage of the Anthem of the Seas

Today is day 3 aboard the maiden voyage of the Anthem of the Seas. Royal Caribbean has redeamed itself after the fiasco on the Quantum. Everything aboard is working, the staff is prepared, the shows are great, the gifts are very nice, and I'm even enjoying the dynamic dining. I still miss the dining rooms. I upgraded to a junior suite which has lots of room, storage, a coffee/tea pot, and two ...
