Our first time on Cunard line, Queen Elizabeth, it will be our last, definitely no where near as good as what I expected.
The staff on board, we’re amazing ( but let’s face it they are working for tips) the staff who wore the white uniforms, didn’t even acknowledge you, they would look the other way or chat with the other person they were with so they didn’t have to acknowledge you.
The ...
I chose this voyage because I wanted to go through the Panama Canal, and also sail on the Queen Elizabeth for the first time. I am a solo traveler. I had already sailed on the Queen Victoria once, and the Queen Mary 2 three times. I have been fascinated by ocean liners since I was ten years old, and this is why I am drawn to Cunard ships. Cunard has always taken pride in carrying on the ...
This cruise for 20 days had lots of problems. Most importantly, the temperature on board was uncontrolled. The ship was freezing. People wore sweaters everywhere. The polo grill was so cold you couldn't eat in the front area. We were told that the AC is broken and the thermostats don't work. That also includes the cabins. The AC is either on or off with no controls.
the shore excursions were ...
My friend’s strong recommendation.
Just want to compare with other cruise lines and plan for future cruise planning. There is no veranda room available when I booked this cruise in May 2023. It is hard to compare Apple to Apple with other cruise lines of the same cabin class.
For sure I won’t cruise on Oceania small ship again as the entertainment is less attractive and almost the same ...
I had chosen the Insignia to do something that was closer to home in the USA. The dates of this Panama Canal cruise were great, and the solo price seemed quite reasonable. My flight to San Francisco and overnight at Hotel Focus was fine. Took a taxi for $40 to the pier.
Once on board, I felt my solo ocean view cabin was a bit "close", and the bathroom absolutely tiny. I am much smaller than ...
Overall trip was fantastic but first and last time with this line.
Embarkation - Fast and easy - we walked on the ship and checked in in the Insignia Lounge to get ticked off we had watched the safety video then dropped our carry on off at our cabin and went for lunch all in under an hour.
DINING/FOOD/DRINKS,- - we found waves, the food hall/Terrace all good with some daily changes in food ...
We had not cruised for several years (pandemic and health issues) and were really excited to try a luxury cruise line. All of our previous 20 or so cruises have been with Premium cruise lines. We should have tried a short Oceania cruise before committing to a World Cruise so the fact that we were so disappointed was our fault entirely. On the positive side, the ship size was perfect. We were able ...
I chose this cruise for the itinerary. The experience was 0 stars.
1. Free WIFI was mostly no WIFI, when it was available it was agonizingly slow and kept disconnecting, allowed one device per cabin. IT was totally not interested in solving connection issues. Movies were not updated for 6 months.
2. Brown congealed lettuce was served in the salad bars, hot food not hot, cold food not ...
I boarded queen elizabeth in san francisco for a 36 night cruise on sunday 24 july 2022.
This is my first cruise on this ship and i suspect that it will be my last unless significant changes are made.
The check-in at san francisco was the worst i have experienced in almost 50 cruises.
I arrived at 10.30 anticipating 11.00 boarding. i was told that boarding would commence at 11.30. A ...
Oceania cruises are great for couples (nothing interesting for children or singles)
This cruise was from San Franciso to Santiago Chile, i.e. a 22-day section of a world cruise. In addition to embarkation and debarkation, we visited these ports: Santa Barbara and San Diego in USA; Cabo, Ixtapa, Acapulco and Puerto Chapas in Mexico; Puerto Quetzel in Gautemala, Acajutla in El Salvador; Manta ...
