We've recently returned from a fascinating cruise to Alaska. A pity the cruise didn't start in the UK because we're not at all fond of flying. We first flew to San Francisco, and were pleased that our package with Regent Seven Seas included an upgrade to Premium Economy on the long 11 hour flight. Two nights in SF gave us the opportunity to visit Alcatraz. Because it's hugely popular, we would ...

I have previously had 9 cruise experiences with Fred Olsen, Princess, Celebrity, and Azamara over the last 9 years; all very enjoyable in their own way and using conventional star ratings I would place these progressively in the range 3.5 to 4.5. This is our second cruise on the Navigator. We had some housekeeping problems on the first cruise but everything else was good so we decided to try it again. Embarkation was fairly simple and after having a glass of champagne our room was ready. Public rooms were nice and we really liked the library/computer area. The carpets throughout the ship needed replacing. Our suite had fresh ...

Embarcation was a breeze at San Francisco, helpful crew and no difficulties. We had a Penthouse B cabin which was excellent and quite roomy, our Butler Chris was absolutely perfect, probably the best we have ever had, and we had a delightful cabin attendant who kept our cabin spotless. Anything we requested for our cabin was immediately actioned and the room service breakfasts were beautifully ...
