The last cruise we were on was on an Oceania ship. We were spoiled and were not expecting that much from Princess. We were pleasantly surprised as it was lovely. The food on Princess is not as yummy as Oceania but everything was pretty good. The turkey dinner on Thanksgiving was surprisingly good considering how many people ordered it.

We chose this cruise for 2 reasons: Embark from SF and the Panama Canal passage.
Embarkation with Princess in SF is consistently one of the best experiences we have ever had. We showed up at the port when we were instructed to and were on the ship in all of 7 minutes after leaving the car. We had never seen the Panama Canal and this time worked well with our schedule. The shipboard entertainment in the evening was varied and of good quality. We particularly enjoyed the violinist and piano duo of Consonance and the choice of comedians, musicians and singers were excellent for such a small ship. Worst cruise I have ever been on. Most disorganized ship ever and I have traveled with most of them. Left-over foods served, same foods daily. Service desks, destination desks, concierge desk, top management in restaurants uncaring and downright rude to guests. Rude staff.

The cabin D7017 is small and poorly appointed with a small dressing table, minimum storage facilities, particularly if a long voyage.
The bathroom small but manageable however the shower cubicle is pokey!
Television channels are extremely limited and there is no interactive channel.
