Review for a British Columbia Cruise on Norwegian Sky

Although not told prior to this cruise, it was the last sailing of the Norwegian Sky. After reaching Vancouver it was to be torn apart while travelling back to dry dock in San Francisco. There it would be refurbished and put back into action as the "Pride of Aloha" and sail with a completely American Crew around the Hawaiian Islands. At each port including the San Juan, competent international ...

My husband and I cruised on the Norwegian Sky. The ports of call were exceptional. The two excursions we booked with NCL were adequate as well. If you're looking for excursions that involve snorkeling and kayaking as we did then I guess it's best to use the "excursion" desk. However if you have researched where you would like to sightsee on an island then getting off the ship and hailing a taxi ...

NCL Sky Southern / Exotic Caribbean 7-14 March 2004 We chose this ship mainly because of the itinerary but also because we had sailed on the Sky before and this had probably been our best cruise to date. Exceptional service, wonderful staff and crew and a nicely laid out classy ship - no neon and glitz. A small, but 'perfectly formed', CC group had been conversing on the boards prior to the ...

Okay, so this was my 5 friends' and my first cruise, so everything was sparkly and new to us, and we were ready to be pleased! That being said we still had some ups and downs, but overall it was a vacation to remember! The rooms were small, as expected (being poor college students we had three girls to an inside state room), but we ended up with plenty of shelf and closet space to unpack all our ...

This sailing is was on board NCL Sky, BEFORE refurbishment as Pride of ALoha.   Embarkation: Totally smooth. We arrived at the pier at about 4PM and were on the ship by 4:20PM. Cabin: Waiting for us in the cabin was a bottle of champagne - nice touch. We also had 2 bath robes for our use. Later on in the week we received a fruit bowl and a cabin credit for $150. Needless to say we were very ...

Cabin Fever Cruise 2004 (This cruise was taken when the Pride of Aloha was the NCL Sky) I'd like to start this review off with a short story of how I found this particular cruise. Maybe it'll help some future cruisers think through the process of booking. For those of you not interested in my lengthy ramblings, feel free to skip to the next line and save yourself twenty minutes of suffering. ...

The Sky will soon be renamed the Pride of Aloha and moved to Hawaii. We'll miss it in the Caribbean, having sailed on it twice, 1/04 and 11/02. The Sky is a wonderful ship. The layout is excellent, it rides very well, and there is almost no noise or vibration. The cabins are on the small side, but workable. The cabin furnishings are beginning to show wear. I recommend a balcony if you are going to ...

We started boarding the ship about 12:30, smooth and easy. Had lunch at the Garden Cafe buffet, nothing spectacular. Went to cabin which was a decent size; the only problem was the top cover on the inside of the toilet was not cleaned. Went to the desk and reported it and it was cleaned before we got back. That evening, we went to Seven Seas for dinner. The food was so-so; the service was very ...
