Never visited before Asian countries.? and Magestic Princess ....the newest Princess ship on her maiden voyage to OZ ...We just had to be onboard .!!!
We flew from Adelaide to Shanghai the day before boarding
Was amazed at the size and magnificence of the ship but once orientated was easy to find our way around... Our balcony cabin was cosy and had all we needed...the food in all dining ...
Travelled to Asia to join Cruise and Shanghai embarkation was abysmal. After arriving at the allotted time we were shown to a holding lounge for a bus transfer. The bus arrived and all passengers were told to load their luggage into the bus as the driver would not open the doors under the bus- those of us who could load the bus did so and helped those who were unable to do so. The bus arrived at ...
New destinations were the main attraction. The ship is beautifully appointed and spacious. The live shows were excellent but you need to get seated an hour before the show if you want a prime seat. The food started out quite interest but faded to average by week two and many dishes were reserved with a different name. Many of the staff appeared to be new and not really well trained .. this led to ...
We have been on 13 cruises and spent 147 days at sea, we are Platinum members with Princess, this review is from our perspective and is based on our experiences on previous cruises we have done and the video and written marketing expectations created by Princess.
Embarkation was a disaster with people queued for 2.5 to 5 hours in the heat with one person being taken away by ambulance, I accept ...
I have been cruising for more than twenty years with nine cruise lines. I'm at Elite level in Princess Captain's Circle. After some years away from Princess we joined four friends to board in Shanghai for a return cruise to Australia, celebrating two birthdays and an anniversary. I understand some adverse weather conditions led to the ship's late docking in Shanghai, which caused a queue to ...
I will start with the positives - disembarkation at Sydney was fast and efficient. That's the positives taken care of! So now the ship and the cruise!
The ships main problem is too many passengers and not enough public areas - so it is ALWAYS busy and finding a seat is not easy.
Embarkation took over 3 hours for most people thanks to total disorganization at the port.
At meal times with ...
I chose this ship as it was new, but after cruising on the Royal Princess 2 years ago, which is a beautiful ship, plenty of atmosphere, great menu, happy hour I felt these things were missing on this ship. I hope it adjusts for the Aussie market. It would be great to have a ship this size based in Australia. Also there is no walking track, the Royal Princess has an excellent walking and running ...
Princess accommodates people in wheelchairs with good cabins and bathrooms but that is about as far as it goes.
this is by far the most disappointing cruise that I have been on with tight corridors blocked with tables and trolleys, lifts not working, no shore tours offered for people in wheelchairs.
For example I was unable to call a lift as the garbage bins are put directly under the lift ...
It gave me the opportunity to take a land tour of China before boarding the ship in Snahhai. Further the ship was the latest in the fleet so we were keen to experience the latest Princess’s offering. The cruise was underwhelming. The ship guest numbers was simply to many for the sh8p amenities to cope. This was exemplified by the demographic of the typical guest and as a result the 5th floor of ...
We chose Majestic Princess again as we had cruised on her maiden voyage a year ago. It's a wonderful ship and there are so many restaurants and bars to visit that you will never be bored. The production shows are some of the best we have seen and the visiting artists were all very good. One of the other reasons we chose this ship was that we were celebrating our 50th wedding anniversary and ...
