First time I took this ship was last year and was so impressed with the service decided to book again! Called in to my contact at Silver Seas Ray Sobel and he helped me find this. Raise and he is outstanding and provides excellent service a big plus for me wanting to ask about ships etc! First they have two ambassadors /translators who take photos and greet people always there to assist..if ...

I have been on over 80 cruises.None of them on a luxury line. This was special for my 60th birthday. Also being single, had to find one that did not break the bank.I didnt want to regret never doing a high end cruise. So booked this one.Big mistake.Definitely would have enjoyed 3 regular cruises so much more. It was a very small ship. There was so much rocking and swaying. I spent 1 day ...

We chose a small luxury vessel because we had sailed before. First time to celebrate our mother’s 80th birthday . That time was luxury and service at its maximum expression. A few years latter we chose to spend a new years with Silverseas, the we went to Alaska. Than this one. The ports were terrible, Guatemala and Belize are poor destinations with poor attractions, but we thought they weren’t ...

The ship is not handicap friendly!!!!!!!!!!!!! NO walk in showers --have to CLIMB in a VERY TALL TUB.Ramps that are very difficult to move on a walker without - assistance. Service in the dining rooms were VERY SLOW most usaually the food was warm at best when served . When you want something HOT to eat you needed to go to the HOT ROCKS at night or during the day the buffet on deck 7 or snack ...

Very nice cruise-line and lovely ship. Food, very good, and many options, coffee, delicious, wines complimentary and good. However many people were complaining that 7 PM was late for the earliest dining. I realize that in Europe, particularly the South, people eat late, but these days, many Americans prefer to not eat after 8 PM, and many older folks like eating early, as it’s hard to sleep on a ...

We've cruised with Silversea about a dozen times. Unfortunately, this one is at the bottom of the ranking list. We convinced another couple to join us. For three days after reporting it, they endured a fire alarm that went off several times a day and water leaking through a ceiling light fixture. I finally intervened and helped get them moved to another suite. I made it very clear Silversea ...

This was our fourth trip with Silver Seas and it won't be the last. I'm a bit disappointed that we can't post these comments on TripAdvisor but hope they receive the same traction as we do on TA. We enjoy finer properties, service and staffing excellence and the Silver Wind did not disappoint in the slightest. There were many shining stars on their team and the most notable where the ...

The cruise through the Caribbean Islands was lovely. Be aware the ship is quite small and book a mid ship cabin as to make sure there are not any rough days. We sailed from San Juan to Ft. Lauderdale with stops at many of the islands. The excursions were great with easy on and off the ship. The service was fantastic! Having a butler for your cabin is very nice and be sure to have a ...

Booked with Silversea with high expectations, having been on two superb Seaborn cruises. The suite was very dated with drab furnishings and what looked like the original 25 year old bathroom.shower in the small bath, difficult to access, nice toiletry. Very little interesting activities on board, unless you like unaccompanied bridge!, or a wine tasting at 11am in the dining room. The ...

According to American law no royalties are due for music composed before 1923. Silversea's playlist reflects that fact. Their live music is not performed by a band but by a "Quartet". No singer - none needed for a repertoire primarily consisting of Cha-cha-cha and various nondescript. So unfortunately we had to head straight for our cabin after dinner. If you don't like listening (or dancing) ...
