I boarded the Ovation in Singapore as the 2nd half of a land and sea package - Nepal then onto Singapore for a cruise back to Australia.
I actually got off the ship in Adelaide yesterday instead of continuing onto Sydney. In addition two lots of people near my cabin got off in Perth, they had paid to cruise to Sydney, I think this says a lot.
This was my fourth trip with RCCL and it will be ...
We chose this cruise as it was part of a package through eCruising and it sailed into Sydney from Singapore.
From the beginning of the cruise tthings did not go well. The organisation (transfers) to the port were poorly organised. This is not Royal Caribbean’s fault but Ecruising’s . We waited at a very crowded port with no drinks, food and inadequate seating for several hours and were not ...
Keen to try the larger ship for the first time.
The OVation is a beautiful ship only 2 yr. young, the artwork & walk throughs are great, 270 at back of ship is great venue with the robots entertaining the humans. The theatre handles the large number of passengers & the smaller venues cope well with passenger numbers.
The staff were excellent, cannot fault, they are eager to please & satisfy ...
I was excited to do this cruise because it was going to Asia where I’d never been before. I thoroughly enjoyed Singapore and would like to visit again sometime. We arrived on ship and settled in our cabins. Unfortunately I found the cabin quite noisy at night. We could hear the toilets being flushed and people walking in the corridor, this disturbed our sleep.
The dining experience was an ...
.This was the last leg of our 41 days of cruising on the Ovation. My wife and I grew very fond of the ship, on this being our last cruise, we really hated to go.
Found the food and dining in the main dining areas of Chic and Grande was excellent.
We like the Pixels show that was performed in the Two-270 to be interesting and entertaining. The ship also put on Crown and Anchor shows for ...
We are familiar with cruises and have always loved them. But his was very disappointing for a number of reasons.
1. They charge $8 for room service breakfast... bummer!
2. The sign-in in Singapore was horribly unorganized.
3. Ho Chi Min was cancelled at the last minute with no explanation (our main reason for choosing this itinerary)
2. On 3rd day of cruise we were told to change our ...
We chose this cruise because our friends we sailed with were told it is a fantastic cruise. The cruise started very badly in Singapore. We were informed to be at the ship by 1230 hrs which we were but unfortunately we were still sitting around the boarding area at 1600 hours. Once embarked we found our cabin to be everything we expected. We found most meals to our liking, the staff more than ...
When my partner and I cruised the Caribbean on Oasis last year - we were so excited had a great time that we decided to book a second cruise - on the new Ovation of the seas
The ship itself is wonderful. It is large, modern, great decor, casino is well organised, and the two-seventy area is magnificent. They even had a sports bar that’s always open for games - unlike the Oasis.
The onboard ...
Long waits for dining
Long waits to go on land for tour
Poorly organised tours
Food not available 24 hrs and if so all pastries and highly unhealthy foods
Cancellation of a tour apalling communication on the day of boarding
Very dissapointed never again
Would not recommend
I found the experience not relaxing at all
all the above contributed to a poorly organised cruise ...
We had several issues in this trip but the ones that really worth a review are the food and the shore excursions. This was by far the worst food I've ever experienced on a ship, it's not only way below RCCL standards, but it's below any cruise line standards as well. This was beyond low quality, it's border line with a lack of respect for the passengers, I could not even relate the food to a ...
