Many things wrong with this ship. Very outdated Ship, desperately needs a refurbish Most guests older, not a lot of kids Specialty Restaurants Giovanni's was ok, Chops was horrific I ordered a bone in rib eye so did my wife and we got, a different cut. Staff was friendly Windjammer was not same quality as the bigger boats Too many disappointments Ship should be named JUNK ...

Costa Favolosa. Some good, some horrible.

Costa Fervolosa Cruise. Review Employees: With exception of one on the third floor, at the reception table, all others were sweet, gentle and willing to help. Big kudos to the cashier at the Amarillo Ice Cream and coffee place. He is very gentil. Also kudos to the Indian employees at the cheeseburger joint. They are amazing. The App: The app is a joke. It doesn’t work when you ...

Another cruise needed

We are a group of 11-13 who have cruised together for two years. This year we sailed Royal Carribbean's Jewel of the Seas from March 9th to March 16th. We sailed out of Puerto Rico. Half of our group stayed at the Marriott at Miramar, close to the cruise port. This hotel is old, dirty, and expensive. I would choose another location for the price. Embarkation day was the smoothest of any cruise ...

Oosterdam... both good and bad.

Holland America Oosterdam 31 night cruise: March 5 to April 5, 2024. This cruise was advertised as including a day of "Scenic Cruising Cape Horn". We made our final payment on Feb. 2. Then, on Feb. 5, we were notified that the ship would NOT be doing the Cape Horn cruise! "For operational reasons". As it turned out, the schedule produced by Holland America is not doable. The Captain told us ...

Great 31 day South American cruise

Review for a South America Cruise on Oosterdam

We had a great cruise! This was our second time on Holland America, we've been on several cruise lines including one of those "6 star luxury" lines and Holland is our top 2. The crew is absolutely the best, they are so friendly and always happy and taking care of the passengers. The food overall is very good and even after 31 days we were still enjoying it. We mainly had meals in the main dining ...

Great trip, but you're going to get sick

Review for a South America Cruise on Oosterdam

Good crew, great route, good excursions, good food, but HAL does not protect the health of its passengers. So many sick people by the time we reached the middle of our 31-day cruise. Packed into the mainstage theatre shoulder to shoulder, it was a chorus of sick people coughing and hacking. Both of us got sick for over a week and most of the people we met on the ship were also sick with the ...

So much respiratory illness onboard

On the positive side, the crew are excellent. Cabin stewards, waiters, food servers and front desk attendants are patient, polite and helpful. The food is Ok but not as good as pre-Covid. The lecture/education part of the cruise seems to have been abandoned by Holland America. We used to see it as university-of-the-seas but no longer. Entertainment is also OK but well reduced in quality. One ...

First Cruise Ever - Never Crusing Again

Review for a Caribbean - Southern Cruise on Jewel of the Seas

This was my first and last cruise. I am at loss for words… As a first time cruiser I had a lot of things to learn. Just suck that it came at such an expensive price! The only reason they got a 2 is because the service was good and our room was made everyday just like we like it. The food was HORRIBLE - I work in the school system and our lunch lady made gastronomic food compare to this! ...

A disappointed trip

Review for a South America Cruise on Sapphire Princess

User Avatar

First Time Cruiser • Age 70s

We have cruised many times of Princess. We were very disappointed on this trip. We booked it as a 32 day cruise from Buenos Aires to LA, not knowing that it was two trips. We did expect rough waters but we didn't except not to see Cape Horn, one of the reasons for the trip. We also had a port excluded because of the weather. There were so many extra sea days. The food and entertainment was ...
