Prior river cruise experience with Viking was excellent. We wanted to visit the Baltic ports and expected the same level of experience on Viking's ocean cruise ships.
There was almost a complete lack of on board entertainment. Most consisted of a string duet, a pianist and guitarist playing classical music. Only 5 shows in the theatre on a 14 day cruise and nothing during two deadly boaring ...
Thank you for taking the time to share your thoughtful review. While we’re glad your previous travel experiences with us were enjoyable, it is disappointing to learn the onboard enrichment...
The cruise went to all the cities we have wanted to see for several years. Our hotel stay in Stocholm was lovely and in the perfect location for walking. The Viking Sky is a beautiful ship. Our cabin couldn't have been nicer. We had plenty of room and storage in our cabin. Our bath had nice a nice heated floors. Our refrigerator was refilled everyday with drinks and snacks. The excursions ...
We chose this cruise because we love cruising. We find this way of travelling very relaxing and at the same time interesting. You can visit many cities and have a general idea of all the places the ship stop. The ship has all you need to have a fantastic vacation time. We never have to wait for a table to eat. The restaurants, all of them are amazing. The chef Ivan, from Chile took really good ...
We had travelled on the grand European river cruise and this was another cruise with friends. The food was excellent at all locations. The bartenders were really good, especially in the explorer lounge. We found the tour guides went from great to so so. Tallin was the best guide. Now for the problems, they put us on a bus to the airport and we saw them literally take our luggage off of the ...
Friends who had travelled on many cruise lines before suggested that Viking was now one of the top - so well worth considering if we wanted to cruise.
The entire cruise and the staff who looked after us were superb. The ship never seems crowded / no queuing in the restaurants. A thoroughly enjoyable experience. More expensive than some other cruise lines but you only get what you pay ...
The cruise was nice, but it fell a little short of my expectations. Most all of the staff was very friendly, but being in the explorer suite we expected a little more of a personable experience like we have received on other cruise lines. Our suite had several mechanical issues (we got locked out of our room twice, tv was serviced three times but still did not work properly, outside door hatch ...
This was a great cruise, exceptional staff. Went to many ports all beautiful. Went to Sweden, Finland, Russia, Denmark, Germany, Estonia and Norway. We missed Poland due to rough water, but we would have been there five hours. Food was great and we saw a lot of country. We did many of the optional tours and some included tours, plus we did some walking tours on our own. The weather could have ...
The Viking Homelands itinerary seemed perfect for us and though we hadn’t been on a Viking Cruise before, had always heard good things. The experience from start to finish was amazing and, now that we have been thoroughly spoiled, would find this cruise line hard to beat. The friendly staff’s prompt attentiveness and professionalism, exceptional logistics from embarking to disembarking (and all ...
This was a thrilling cruise! I have always wanted to visit Scandinavia. The three destinations in Norway were varied and interesting. In Scavanger we visited the Nature Centre and not only experienced incredible exhibits but were treated to a panoramic tour of the north which I found thrilling to watch. Bergen was a wonderful way to end the cruise and when there we experienced plus 30C sunny ...
We loved everything about the Viking Homelands tour. From airport pickups to tours to see the cities, it was all run like clockwork. Getting on and off the ship at every port was easy and never any lines (except for when we all returned on the train from Berlin, but we were greeted with champagne and the crew dancing and welcoming us back....my own family doesn't welcome me home like the Viking ...
