1-10 of 75 Sydney (Australia) to Australia & New Zealand Princess Majestic Princess Cruise Reviews
The Majestic is one of the latest ships in the Princess lineup , so we thought we would give it a try.
Embarkation was smooth and quick.
We decided to bid for an upgrade from a balcony to a Deluxe balcony cabin , our bid was successful but we found out that the couple in the adjacent cabin just asked for an upgrade equal to ours and were given it (free). BEWARE!!!!.
The cabin was ...
We were really looking forward to this cruise to New Zealand but sadly left the ship very disappointed.
We booked 10 months in advance as part of a 6 week tour of Australia and New Zealand departing from the UK. We had stayed on the ship for this cruise after we had completed the previous cruise around Australia and Tasmania.
Our balcony cabin was adequate for our needs but the balconies are ...
In this review...Temperatures in Celcius. Currency onboard Australian Dollar. Language onboard English.
As with my other cruise reviews, I will split my review into categories. I'll also give marks out of 10 for each section where appropriate.
Embarkation. To be honest, this was almost a shambles and very rushed. I realise that the ship needs to get passengers on as quickly as possible, ...
First time cruising on Majestic from Sydney. Most times travel on RC. Ship is older and does not have the bells and whistles, which is ok as I don’t use them anyway, more for the kids and teens. The central atrium was small so therefore the whole cruise was impossible to get a seat there as they were occupied constantly with people not moving on. The problem with the Majestic is that is has hardly ...
Travelled with my parents to see some South Pacific islands. Unfortunately, a cyclone was forming near Fiji so after 1 day at Suva we spent the following two days at sea travelling very slowly towards New Caledonia where we spent an extra port day. Whereas we should have had two more days at Fiji.
The one day at Mystery island on Vanuatu had a lovely beach and trpoical feel. Weather meant the ...
We have always enjoyed princess cruises having traveled over 400 days with them but this cruise was a huge disappointment.
We booked a suite thinking it would be a wonderful experience and we would be spoilt from start to finish during the 28 day’s onboard.
On the positive side the concierge lounge and staff were fantastic, the happy hour was very social and the food and snacks were ...
Our first time with Princess, having previously cruised with HAL, but we did not find this ship very comfortable. For a cruise line that, as we believed, catered to more 'senior' passengers, there was very little in the way of lounges to sit comfortably with a coffee and a book. Getting a table in a lounge for pre-dinner drinks was not easy - the very large Vista Lounge was open at this time to ...
This is a large ship built in 2017. The design is elegant, and cabins have some nice features such as large-screen TVs, a good choice of films, serials and documentaries and on-line information. On the negative side, one gets the impression that every available space has been squeezed to create revenue generating cabins, at the expense of public spaces that are surprisingly limited and more ...
Never amazes me how Princess continues to outdo itself! Do not waste your time in any of their Specialty Dining Rooms - food is better in regular dining rooms! The Crown Grill use to be pretty good - now the meat is just like regualr dining room meat and the main reason I use to go was for the delicious Crab Cake - this cruise, I didn't even know I was eating crab ! AWFUL. Seems like Princess ...
We chose this cruise because of the route from Sydney to Singapore, but it was terminated at Perth because of the Coronavirus. It was announced during a show in the theatre by the captain, whereas we understood the reason ,it had a deflating effect on the rest of the cruise all the people we spoke to felt the same. One man said it was the most disastrous cruise ever, his wife said “ it was not ...
