We have done over thirty cruises and love dressing up and dancing -ballroom, rock and roll etc All our favourite venues on the smaller class of ships such as Wheelhouse Bar, Explorers Lounge, Club Fusion, Skylounge, have been removed from the newer and larger Princess ships. These were all dance venues. Unfortunately all the dancing on the new class ships is in the piazza/atrium so you get ...
went on this cruise because AUS and NZ were on are bucket list. The cruise was a problem from the get go check in people were rude and we experience are first Princess take away no lanyard were provided, of course you can purchase them on board, other princess take aways we encountered, less selection of food items in Market place, items only available in one of the two dinning areas meaning you ...
SIMPLY DONT GO ON THIS SHIP
Originally rejected by the chinese this poorly planned ship has very average food lack of areas to sit and have a drink.
NO PROMONADE DECK UNLESS YOU LIKE THE LOOK OF TENDERS
An atrium that would hold 200 people tops out of a total 3500.
Do not book a criuse with that require tendering..
TOOK US 3 HOURS TO GET FROM THE ASSEMBLY AREA TO CAIRNS
Refused ...
Our expectations had been set to expect a high quality cruise experience. Unfortunately reality didn’t measure up. My husband and I travelled with our 17 year old daughter. This was our first experience with Princess having previously cruised with Royal Caribbean and P&O. We felt that the quality of the food was t great, whilst they use high quality produce we didn’t enjoy many dishes served to ...
we chose this ship because it was new but it is badly designed you have to go to different floors to get from one end to the other end of the ship food was average would not sail again on this one found the sun and diamond princess ships are better. Not enough cover around the pool area dance floor between the pools was a wasted space not enough seating for 3500 people no entertainment on pool ...
Missed ports last cruise due to bad weather. This cruise was very good, only problems were greedy people keeping reserved seats for shows, policing by ship should have been better. also many People entering pools and spas, did not shower as requested by signs before entering,. Shore excursions from ship were good but a bit expensive as was the, price of drinks, could not see the duty free or GST ...
We went on this cruise with a friend who was celebrating his 50th birthday. We had been on the Diamond Princess before, so expected the newer Majestic Princess to be just as good. Sadly it wasn't. Worse cruise we've ever been on.
*Noisy cabin
*poor food - marketplace was bland and food was overcooked and dry, too much asian food
*small entertainment venues with not enough seating, ...
The Majestic may be the biggest fleet of Princess, but it is the worst cruise ship and cruise experience I've ever had (and this includes the time I went on a cruise to Alaska - also with Princess - and we hit the tail end of a typhoon and the waves were coming up to the 5th floor).
Embarkation/disembarkation: The embarkation and disembarkation went very smoothly, so that's a positive. We were ...
Embarkation:
Got on and found the water to be $6.50 for a 1.5 Lt rip-off
And all beers to be $8.75 per stubbie
Day 2: International bar
Went for early morning coffee at 6am, which was very weak and bitter and order was made wrong by Milan. He did remake it for me but no better. For next 5 days the coffee was the same and my order was stuffed up each time buy the same barista and ...
Went on this ship with high expectations...travelled with husband and my parents. We were on deck 8 and they were deck 9. Both of us, midship.
Between us all, we have been on more that 30 Cruises, across different cruise lines. This was our second Princess Cruise.
This is our combined opinion, based on what we like and look for on a cruise ship. As cruisers, everyone looks for different ...
