Not 'an Unrivaled Experience'

I wanted to celebrate our 40th anniversary with a “bucket list” trip for my wife – something she has been wanting to do since she was child - which was a trip to Japan. We chose Regent for this itinerary and more importantly, the shore excursions, based on our prior experience with them cruising Alaska, and Greece & Turkey. The previously experienced shore excursions were educational, ...

My Worst Cruise

We choose this cruise because it was advertised as, "the most luxurious cruise and an unparalleled experience". The transfer from airport to our hotel was badly organised. Following a 13 hour flight and over an hour spent in immigration, we were expected to wait indefinitely for guests arriving on the flights which had not as yet landed. Unfortunately we had very few sunny days and very few enjoyable events. I wouldn’t recommend this cruise to a friend. Starting at the Narita airport where we were rounded up like cattle, having to wait almost one hour and having to bring our luggage several hundred yards to waiting buses. The Intercontinental Hotel was very nice and the service was fine. The 3-day pre-cruise program consisted ...

An Expensive Disappointment!

After 64 cruises, on most of the mass market and luxury lines, I eagerly looked forward to cruising with RSSC to experience their "5-STAR PLUS" service. Sadly, that was not the case. The food was only mediocre, certainly not gourmet, as we were led to believe it would be. The service really lacking in all areas, especially with the dining staff, as they seemed indifferent in their attitude and it ...
