I thought it was OK
"Nothing here is exclusive to the ship so it makes going up to it pointless unless you want to deal with the cold -Speaking of cold, ship needs wind resistant tarps or barrier so welcome passengers to sit outside and enjoy the outdoor light while cruising in Alaska -Odd buffet hours.good luck -Biergarten was clearly mislabeled because this represents nothing what a beer garden should be...."Read More

My wife DIED onboard the Spirit! They way I have been treated has been HORRENDOUS!!!!

Review for a Alaska Cruise on Norwegian Spirit

My wife contracted Covid aboard the Norwegian Spirit during cruise of Alaska and Hawaii. She died aboard the Norwegian Spirit on Friday, September 8, 2023. She died in the ship's infirmary one day after being admitted for breathing difficulty. The treatment I received from the crew and the cruise line has been absolutely deplorable. It is evil. It was mind-boggling and made the worst experience of ...

Really Nice Ship geared for adults

My wife and I really enjoyed the ship. Excellent food, excellent staff and first rate facilities on board. The ship is amazingly clean and the staff is very attentive. Drawbacks include the use of Coffee Mate in all restaurants instead of real half and half, cabins that are a bit smaller than expected and an interior cabin with much too much furniture inside. The fold out bed for a 3rd or 4th ...

I am remiss that I have not sailed an Alaskan inside passage cruise before but I will definitely book this cruise again. Loved sailing out of Vancouver. Very easy to navigate in the city and take the water ferry to Granville Market if you can. Such a great place to visit. Boarding the ship was easier than expected. Advice, bring your global entry card and board early to skip the crowd. Got to ...

Disappointed with NCL Spirit

Review for a Alaska Cruise on Norwegian Spirit

We went on a cruise to Hawaii last year with NCL Pride of America and loved it even though 1/3 of the restaurants and facilities were closed due to (Covid) staffing. We had a fantastic cruise and what was open was superb. I cannot say the same about NCL Spirit! Our cabin was ok but clearly not refurbished. The bathroom vanity was cracked with a jagged edge and sticking out, the trash receptacle ...

Terrible Food & Service-Avoid the Spirit!

First time on Norwegian but a frequent cruiser. I've done 32 cruises across other brands, Celebrity, Royal Caribbean, Princess, Virgin, and Avalon for river cruising. The Spirit is an old ship, but completely gutted and refurbished in 2020 or 2022, depending on who you talk to. The public spaces and my room appeared fresh and the furnishings are in good condition. I paid for the ship ...

We didn’t purchase the cruise our children purchased it for my wife and I for our 30th wedding anniversary. So I can’t say why the went with NCL. What I can say is that everything was just perfect. The cabins were clean everyday new towels if you wanted. Every ship employee was very pleasant. From the cruise director Jerry all the way down to the as they called them the washy washy girls at the ...

On a Scale From Meh to Blah

Disorganized crew. Restaurant maitre'd and serving staff did not know the menus. Bar staff did not know basic cocktail terms (neat, up, dry, etc). Food in MDR and buffet looked good, tasted blah (knives in buffet were so dull every time that I could cut neither an Eggs Benedict English muffin nor a carved slice of roast beef). That said, both the food and the service in the specialty restaurants ...

North to Alaska ~ Issue with Latitudes Rewards

My sister chose this cruise and invited me to come along with her and her daughter, my neice. (Her hubby, couldn't make it.) I do need to begin with one critique. This was a 7 night cruise and I took another 7 days for an Alaskan land tour that cost more than the cruise. However, when I returned home and reviewed everything I realized that the more expensive land tour did not count toward my ...

I will start with the bad.. -Cabin bathroom are super small. Can't change in them so if you're traveling with anyone but a spouse..good luck -Biergarten was clearly mislabeled because this represents nothing what a beer garden should be. Nothing on tap, and miniscule selection of beer. Nothing here is exclusive to the ship so it makes going up to it pointless unless you want to deal with the ...

Autistic Review of Norwegian Spirit

I have done many cruises with NCL and the Spirit is my favourite ship. I did a back to back Alaska cruise as a solo traveller. Initially I had a cabin with a porthole. The cabin was on the fourth deck and the cabin itself was fine. It was small but clean and comfortable. The issue I had was that it was so noisy. All night there was noise coming from the sound of the water against the ship. I am ...
