This cruise was very good overall. Embarking in Vancouver was a DISASTER (It took us 3 hours) but that was more the Port of Vancouver's fault than RCL. Our room was as expected... nothing more nothing less. Food in the main dining room was not as good as normal. I'm not sure anybody at out table was wowed with more than 1 meal in the 11 we received. Oddly enough, though, food in the windjammer was ...
My wife and I did our second cruise on the Rhapsody. We wanted to do a cruise and Hawaii was the perfect place for a honeymoon. We got engaged just before our first cruise a year before on Majesty of the Seas. Flight into Vancouver was fine, the bus ride to the port was a little long but the driver did a good job of entertaining during the drive. Embarking took longer than expected as they stated ...
Originally we had booked the Sept. 2015 cruise to Hawaii, but it was cancelled and RCI was nice enough to give us a $400.00 OBC. So we decided to go early, Sept. 2014.
Flight
We booked all of the flight arrangements separately from RCI, mainly due to the fact that I like layovers of about 1.5 hours. Now we flew straight from LAX so it wouldn't have been a big deal. We took Air Canada and it was ...
We took a 12 night cruise on Rhapsody of the Seas from Vancouver to Hawaii. We arrived in Vancouver the night before and stayed at the Pan Pacific. What a beautiful hotel. They made the process so simple! Once we called the bell hop to pick up our luggage we did not see it again until we were on the ship. We have taken several cruises and are very loyal to RC. We love the service that we receive ...
Well, this is my first review of a cruise on Cruise Critic. We just arrived home after our 12 night cruise from Vancouver to Hawaii on the Rhapsody of the Seas. We started our cruise by arriving a day early so we could start acclimating to the time change coming from NY. We stayed at the Pan Pacific which is located right above the cruise terminal. It could not have been any easier to embark the ...
Embarkation - Luggage drop off was a scramble.
We were dropped off to a huge mob in the parking lot in front of our pier. They needed more Royal Caribbean employees to direct things, and they also needed more signs. No one knew anything, and I waited in one mob around a table, and was told that’s where we would pick up our Seapass cards (sounded a little weird), but once I got a little closer, I ...
We arrived two days early to visit Vancouver and stayed at a B & B, Bee & Thistle Guest House, Best in Vancouver. The owner Michael picked us up at the train station and dropped us off at the port on departure day, super accommodating, great breakfasts and comfy rooms; first class place (5 stars).
We left May 21, 201 from Vancouver on the Rhapsody of the Seas first run of the season of the inner ...
This was our third cruise on Royal Caribbean and we’re sad to say that we were disappointed in the Rhapsody.StateroomA few days before we were set to leave the Upgrade Fairy paid a visit and we were moved from a D1 balcony on deck 7 to junior suite 8010, which is an accessible room. This was our first time in a suite (if you really want to count a JS as a suite) and the room was huge compared to ...
We're a little late in getting our review together, but since we had such a fabulous time, we still want to share our experience and thoughts with others.
So here goes...My childhood friend and I promised each other 9 years ago we would take an Alaskan Cruise together the year we both turned 60 (this was that year). We'd spent our elementary and high school years together in Nova Scotia but now ...
Although we are from Nebraska, we have friends in Denver that we enjoy traveling with. We loved the fact that the ship sailed from Vancouver B.C., sailed the Inside Passage, and then the cruise concluded at Seattle. We purposely booked three nights prior and two nights after in those cities. In just under two weeks we enjoyed three vacations in one, with many bucket list experiences.Normally, it ...
