We love cruising. This was our 21st cruise and first on Regent. It was our 3rd cruise this year also. Our room was on the 6th floor. When we arrived we found it was at the end of the hall and out a door which lead to the wellness center. Our room was the only one out there and was between 2 fire doors. We were disappointed with the cruise from Vancouver to Tokyo, for it lacked the five star quality that we were expecting. We have been on over 20 cruises, and in certain areas-like the internet and excursions-it was by far the worse of any cruise. Perhaps Regent is now a three star line.

We got quite a bumpy start,,, our first stop in Alaska before heading to Japan was cancelled. I was really looking foward to see the inside passage and Ketchikan. This was our third attempt to do this with Celebrity...COVIDS caused the cruise to be canceled year after year. We lifted and shifted our reservations, with Celebrity being quite amenable after a bit of balking. This cruise was initially headed to Alaska and Japan (cancelled Russia), however the itinerary changed and we went to Alaska and then to Hawaii. We had 12 days total at sea, and the staff made it fun. Always something to do. Loads of goodies to eat provided by the most top notch staff we've had.
