Our two daughters my husband and myself boarded in Venice for a trip of a lifetime. We had a cabin with a toilet flushing problem. We reported the problem and engineers came on several occasions to change parts but they could never fix the problem. The ship was only 3/4 full but we were never offered another cabin. We had to use the downstairs public bathroom the entire cruise. On our last ...

I've been on about 50 cruises on all the major lines, and this was my first and last cruise with MSC. The itinerary was great and unique, so I had to try it, but I didn't realize the stepdown in quality compared to Royal and Princess and the other major brands. The food was not good. We tried the sit down dinners twice, and they were very slow and every single item was terrible, so we just had ...

We were delighted to find that the MSC Musica was relocating from the Med to South Africa, and booked Venice to Durban (24 days) as the conclusion of a long trip away from home in South Africa. By way of summary, our experience ran along these lines: 1 - The web site is a monster and needs some serious attention from someone who understands UX ('User Experience' - the trending approach to ...

We just come back of MSC Musica, food in buffet, was always cold and in Restaurant,! Food is not at all good quality like other shops,! Can you believe they even shut couple bars early so the crew can have there parties, although ther itineraries was good, on where we went, there theme parties was good, some staff was friendly, some just tried to avoid serving you, and appear to have long faces,! ...

Worst cruise ever

We chose it for the trip to Egypt instead of private tour because MSCUSA call center promised the same sites for less. Instead, MSC Cruise, Musica. 10/4-11/7/18 became the worst cruise ever. 1. Call Center associates stated Egypt excursions were available even after change to Suez only 2. Smoking permitted in cabin although several disclosures prohibited smoking; crew unresponsive 3. At ...

We chose this cruise because of the itinerary, embarking in Venice and sailing through the Suez Canal, disembarking in Durban Sth Africa. There was a long 7 days at sea and unlike other cruises we have been on, there were very few interesting activities to keep the passengers occupied. They seemed to think everyone would just want to lay by the swimming pool, which many of the European ...

We chose this cruise because we wanted to go to South Africa and the thought of going through the Suez Canal appealed to us enormously. We enjoyed the classical music concerts and the documentaries especially. We were pleased to discover the quietness of the Pasha Lounge during the day where we could read, do crossword puzzles, etc. We enjoyed the excursions in Crete, Eilat, Mauritius and ...

Convenient travelling back home to South Africa from Europe. We have cruised with MSC on a few occasions and have always had first class service. The Service and quality of food on this particular Cruise was dumbed down for some reason. We want to Cruise with MSC again and will do so if MSC can ensure that this will be the last time they dumb down the Service and Quality of food and all ...

We did this cruise because of the itinerary and timing, having done the return trip via the W. Coast 4 times before - but never on the Sinfonia. We had been told that she was a nicer ship than the Opera, but did not find that to be the case. The good stuff first: Cabin. We had booked an Aurea Suite and were not disappointed - best position and cabin (and bed) we have ever had - spacious ...

Suez and Middle East

The middle eastern ports of call appealed to us and the fact that the cruise went along the East coast of Africa. We have already done the voyage along the west coast of Africa. We also looked forward to going through the Suez Canal as that was a first time experience. WE were disappointed in the excursion to King Solomons mines as we were given the impression we would visit a kibbutz but ...
