Very impressed with a wonderful ship - highly recommended

Review for a Baltic Sea Cruise on Seabourn Odyssey

After suffering two disastrous cruises with P&O over twenty years ago we vowed never to cruise again. However, having reached our fifties, we researched it again in a lot of detail, and we decided to give Seabourn a shot with a seven day Venice-Athens run on the Odyssey in early September. In short, though expensive, it was the best holiday we have ever had...and we have already booked up again ...

We chose Seabourn after reading reviews here, so we want to help others make their choices. This was only our fifth cruise, but first one on the Seabourn. After three weeks on this ship we will only travel with Seabourn in the future. Staff, food, service, suite, and public spaces were outstanding. Every request we made they answered with a smile and exceeded out expectations. When we dined ...

From Venice to Athens the cruise was heaven. A 'delight' of middle aged folks enjoying themselves. From Athens to Istanbul we were joined by some family groups who changed the atmosphere on the ship totally. They did nothing wrong and were indeed charming but going forward we will avoid school holidays for our cruising. The food was really lovely, the service was A1 and the ship ...

Just got home from our first Seabourn cruise and it won't be our last. We sailed on the Odyssey from Venice to Istanbul, 14 days. The staff was friendly and the service was great. The food was delicious and way too plentiful. The wines were good but the mixed drinks were just average. We enjoyed this itinerary it was very port intensive. We did make good use of our time and were almost always ...

First Cruise on Seabourn and It Will Not Be the Last

My wife and I were on the Venice to Athens portion of the cruise, our first on Seabourn. It was a magnificent experience in most facets (attentive, prompt and anticipatory service, innovative cuisine, and wonderful suite). The only downsides were a horribly long check-in process at the terminal, notwithstanding having done expedited check in on line weeks before, and a computer software issue with ...

The Seabourn Odyssey is a beautiful ship. Almost all aspects of the cruise from Venice to Athens were faultless. The suite was delightful and well maintained by the stewardess/housekeeper. The food was absolutely outstanding in all the restaurant outlets. Although the ship was full, there was never a problem finding a seat whether on the deck or in the public rooms. I would recommend it without ...

my husband and i took a seabourn cruise for our 20th anniversary. we had never cruised on a small ship, but did many family cruises on celebrity, princess and cunard. we decided after this cruise, that you cannot call a trip like this cruising, it is called yachting. the ship is the perfect size, 450 guests, with ample space for everyone whether on the pool deck or dining. it all just works! the ...
