Main pool -- nice and warm. Kept it open in medium high seas, too.

A wonderful first time experience cruising with Viking!

Review for a Europe - Eastern Mediterranean Cruise on Viking Jupiter

My wife and I are cruising neophytes. We have been on one Caribbean cruise for our honeymoon back in the 90's on a smaller older ship in a popular cruise line. It was an entertaining experience, but we found the stateroom to be cramped, and there was a fair amount of pressure on upselling things like excursions. We caved into the pressure and packed our schedule with excursions. The result was a ...

We dreamed of going to Europe for 20 years prior to retirement. The more we researched, the more places we wanted to see. It was the itinerary of ports and excursions that first drew us Viking. The excursions at each port are varied and enriching guided by locals that not only have college degrees in tourism but are often working professionals in the area in which they are guiding. Art ...

We did the 15 day cruise from Venus to Rome and it was absolutely fantastic. We are an older couple in our 70's and liked the small ship size. The customer service was excellent. The food was superb and the staff was super friendly. We ate mostly at the buffet and the food was always fresh. We did pig out at the sushi bar as it was the best we have ever had. We will definitely cruise with them ...

We very much enjoyed our time on-board the Jupiter, as we did enjoy the Viking Sky in March 2019. Accommodations were great, food was good, entertainment was great, and crew members were pleasant and helpful. The cruise director and her staff her very friendly and helpful. We enjoyed the excursions. With only one exception, the local guides were very professional. The guide in Naples was the ...

Over 100 years ago, 16 year old Emilio Schiavone left Italy with little more than the clothes on his back. In 2019 his grandson returned with the clothes on his back*. Air Canada lost his luggage for 5 days. But Viking graciously gave me a ship board allowance, even though it was not responsible. *(and several major credit cards) The ship board experience was excellent. We were treated like ...

Family Birthday Cruise

This was a family cruise picked because the dates and ports were of the most interest to the majority of the group. The ship was a good size, easy to get around in and offering a good opportunity to get to know most of the crew and passengers. The crew was exceptional, from the housekeeping, to the beverage and dinning crew and the entertainment group (special kudos to Heather and Eion ). The ...

This cruise took us to many places that we hadn't been to before. And not having to pack and unpack a suitcase at each port was a real plus! We found the ship to be immaculate and the staff to be so very friendly and accommodating. The food and dining options on this cruise were wonderful! We also found the entertainment in the theater to be outstanding. We especially enjoyed the daily ...

Excellent choice of shore excursions and guides. Pompeii guide wonderful--history and tour moving and very enlightening. Also liked beauty and cultures in Monaco and Barcelona. Not impressed with Marseille city or tour. Ship World Cafe served a wonderful evening meal on 1st night--filet of beef done perfectly. Serving staff always very attentive to our needs. Ship cabin immaculate each and ...

We cruised with two other couples who had chosen this cruise to celebrate birthdays. This was our first cruise and we were very impressed with the Viking Jupiter which went into service earlier this year. The food at the restaurants was excellent and we had no problem making reservations at Manfredis and The Chefs Table. The included wines that were served at lunch and dinner were excellent ...

Our original intention was to take a river cruise but rooms sold out for the dates we could schedule, so we opted for the ocean cruise. The ports were good as well as the length of the cruise (12 days). Smaller ship but very quaint and easy to get around. Restaurants were perfect for food selections and never waited for tables. Entertainment we witnessed was unexpected. It was grand and beyond our ...
