1-10 of 37 Venice to Europe - Western Mediterranean Viking Ocean Viking Sea Cruise Reviews
Loved the itinerary. Nice ship. Decent food but not great and lacking variety. Two lobster nights was really nice.
Included Excursions were disappointing with average to below average guides. Paid excursions had better guides but really poor planning relative to time. Many excursions returned to the ship as buffet was closing. Others did not allow enough time for shopping and enjoying the ...
River cruise of 2022 was cancelled by us due to low river levels. Transferred to Med cruise that took us from Venice to Barcelona. We were looking for at least 14 days. It was wonderful in all aspects. Viking family was attentive, welcoming and warm. Plenty of adult educational seminars on the ports we visited. Nightly entertainment was superb and with audience participation (if one so wished) ...
We wanted to check out many diffrent countries within 1 cruise. We wanted to see a lot of Italy. The restaurants were all very good. The waiters and bartenders were all accomating and super friendly, ready to please. All the excursions were wonderful! There were a few we could not book but when we got on board we were able to get on them.Same when we wanted some of the restaurants we were able to ...
Have sailed on this same ship on the viking homeland. Such a beautiful ship. My husbands first time on viking & he said he would never travel on any other cruiseline except viking. They are so exceptional. All the restaurants are fabulous & staff can't say enough. We will definitely sail with them again. Love it that no children. Have been on other crusies where parents let their children run ...
This was our first Viking ocean cruise. We've been on a Viking river cruise previously, as well as numerous cruises on other cruise lines. The Viking experience was different than on the larger ships. With 900 passengers, the ship never felt crowded and we had no problem going to different venues and finding seats.
The ship is immaculate and very well maintained. The crew are very ...
This is the second cruise my husband and I have taken with Viking. The ship had an abundance of staff members and the service was wonderful. Staff seems to be highly trained in their area of hospitality. I found that Viking is very organized and has an acute attention to detail. Little things, like handing out hot towels upon our return from an excursion, were well appreciated. The rooms were ...
We had done a viking cruise in the caribbean (actually on this same ship viking sea) previously so we knew what to expect. Its great having everything from the time you land to transfer back to the airport when returning home totally taken care of. We love viking's laid back minimalist scandinavian vibe (you're not going to find anyone coming down a water slide with a margarita in each hand!! :-) ...
We chose this cruise to visit Venice, where we had not visited and to return to Rome, Florence and Barcelona, where we previously had traveled.
We did the three-day pre-cruise extension in the Italian lake region and the two-day post-cruise extension in Barcelona. Both extensions were highlights of our trip.
The most disappointing stop was Venice. From the Viking Sea, we had a 90+-minute ...
Chose this cruise for its ports of call which were areas that we always had on our travel list but hadn’t got there yet.
The service onboard was great. All the staff were willing to do whatever was needed and greeted us with smiles and courtesy at all times.
Our cabin was spacious and comfortable The cabin was cleaned twice a day and always had ample supplies and treats.
Meals were ...
I've been dreaming of a Viking cruise for almost 20 years. When we finally settled after retirement we booked the Rhine River Cruise. But then COVID-19 hit and it was canceled. We opted for the vouchers. With the additional 25% that was offered with the voucher we opted for the Rhine & added on an ocean cruise. It too was canceled. When we were able to book again, we did so 2 years out hoping ...
