I hardly ever write on of these reviews but felt I must on this. My husband and I have cruised for years and have done maybe 50-60 cruises. In the past, we have stayed away from Norwegian cruises because we had heard many horror stories about the line. Friends of ours had booked a cruise on Jan 17, 2015 and we decided to tag along.

This 7 day cruise on the Jewell was one of the best ever. We went on board with skepticism about the freestyle dining on board and found out it was fantastic. The lack of formal dress was great. The entertainment was way above exceptional. The crew was very friendly. The embarkation and disembarkation was one of the fastest we've ever encountered. The Houston cruise port is wonderful.

Of course new and different ports would be greatly appreciated. We have been to the Western Caribbean so often that we opt to stay on board every so often.
