We are a couple in our early sixties. Choose a Caribbean cruise every year for the weather and ports. This was our 3rd Azamara cruise. We choose small luxury lines.
We were in N2 category.
As in past excursions were canceled for lack of participants. If there is something you really must do then best to do it as independent.
Tender service was good.
Hotel mng Philip was ...
Thank you, wowpeople, for the cruise review.
I hope we will be able to welcome you back in 2019, after you've sampled another, 'jumped ship', in 2018. We want you back!...
We recently sailed on the March 10th sailing of the Quest. We chose this ship for a couple of reasons, #1, the itinerary - 6 Caribbean ports, 4 of which were new to us and the #2 reason is that we have sailed RCCL several times and were Emerald level.
The ship is very nice, we knew the veranda cabin would be smaller than we had recently experienced, but while it was compact, all our things fit ...
Hello katykrol,
I'm sorry the food was sub-par to your expectations. I do hope you'll give us another chance sometime in the future.
Thank you for writing a cruise review. We appreciate it....
Small islands not visited by larger ships made this special with a smaller ship. We tendered in all ports except St. Maartin, and we were the only ship in each of these ports.
Senior staff very visible and the crew is wonderful. Cabin, dining, entertainment and ports were tops. Captain Jose, Philip and Russ made this cruise special. This was our 16th Azamara cruise and have 2 more booked ...
My wife and I were looking to check out, unwind, and relax (and get through several books) - Mission accomplished! I loved the relaxed and quiet onboard atmosphere, the unique off the beaten path ports of call, and the friendly, polished service of the happy staff onboard.
The White Party was very well done and our only regret was the Azamazing Evening was washed out due to heavy rainstorm ...
Azamara Journey is lovely (idenitical to The Quest her sister ship) however something was missing and our expectations were not met. We boarded in Sydney for a 31 night (back to back) Sydney to Auckland to Sydney cruise. The first sector went well but the second sector was disappointing. We had to change cabins - same level just different location and that was a hassle not "smooth and easy" as ...
My goodness, downundercruiser, I'm so sorry you were so unhappy with your second cruise on Azamara Club Cruises. I will make sure management is aware of your review, especially given you...
As a senior, solo traveler I choose Azamara firstly because of the itinerary. and then because it is such a friendly environment. The lectures are varied and really interesting, My last cruises have had a bridge director on board which makes for well organized sea day bridge sessions. I also enjoy the trivia sessions and of course being smaller ships, they are often able to access ports the ...
Hello brumbygirl,
Thank you for the review of your month aboard with us recently. I agree that the 2016 refurbishment really improved our public, and private, spaces!
P.S. Azamara loves Solo...
This was our first time on a premium cruise line and we did not know what to expect.
Were we going to wallow in the lap of luxury with peons feeding us grapes as we reclined on our loungers?
Caviar and champagne for breakfast, truffle sandwiches for lunch?
Sedan chairs to carry us to the pool?
Turns out, not so much.
All together it was a very nice experience but not terribly ...
Dear Marcc,
I always find 'first-time on Azamara' reviews very enlightening. It sounds like we have not converted you to an unabashed loyalist, yet. I do hope you'll sail with us again so we...
As this was our 10th Azamara, we were looking at returning to the Quest with great enthusiasm. Our on board experiences again did not disappoint. Other reviews talk about the white nights, Azamazing evening and the like so I don’t see the need to revisit them in this review other than say that the signature events are exciting, anticipated and very much enjoyed.
The advantages of the size and ...
Thank you Aussie Travel Bird for the lovely review. We are so honored that you have sailed 10 times with already, and have booked another four voyages 2017-2018! ...
Going through the Panama Canal has been on my "bucket list." I couldn't think of a better way to cross than onboard Azamara Quest.
I boarded Quest in San Diego. The ports we visited were great, including an overnight in Cabo San Lucas, where the AzAmazing Evening was a performance of the "Dance of the Dead" in the Mexican desert. We then went to Zhijuatanejo (Mexico), San Juan del Sur ...
This was our first Azamara cruise. The food was delicious, the service fantastic, and the tours were excellent. We tried all of the restaurants and found them all to be great.
Azamara was exceptional in their attention to detail. Upon returning from any tour, the staff could be found at the pier to greet you with a smile, cold drink, and towel. You never wanted for something to drink no ...
