The cruise up the Douro river was nice but every stop had a LONG bus ride to get to all of the shore excursion towns & destinations. This included the bus ride from Lisbon to Porto. I also found it strange that the transpiration started in Lisbon but ended in Porto. For those of us who book our own airfare to and from cruises, it presented a bit of a challenge.

Other than that, the food and the scenery during the trip were OK.

On board - the service was very good. The waiters and bar staff were very accommodating. Unlike most other cruises, on this particular trip, the entire cruise staff was from Portugal. Read more
