We had always wanted to go on a river cruise and with some good friends decided to go on the Paris and Normandy trip. We extended our trip 3 days on the front end to be able to acclimated to the time change, and to explore Paris on our own. The Viking rep at our hotel was extremely helpful in assisting us with our daily planning. Transfer from hotel to ship went very smoothly.

Once on the ship, we loved being able to sit up top and watch the beautiful scenery. The food was absolutely outstanding, the staff more than attentative and the tours extremely interesting and educational. We very much enjoyed the size of the ship--smaller than ocean cruises which allowed us to meet more people and make lasting friends with some. Being able to sit wherever we wanted at meals also gave us the opportunity to meet a variety of people. While every day was my favorite day on the trip, I especially enjoyed Giverny and walking through Monet's gardens...absolutely beautiful! We have our next trip booked already!
