I experienced my first Viking cruise in September 2016. A Mediterranean luxury cruise was on my bucket list, and since my husband wasn't interested in going, I went with a group of friends. It was so spectacular, and I waxed poetic about it so incessantly, when I received a follow-up email for the exact same cruise, my husband recommended we go together. We booked immediately and I returned for another round just 6 months later.

The ship is elegant and beautiful. It reminded me of a floating Park Hyatt. It is impeccably maintained, and there is a lot of variety in the options available for lounging outside your room.
