We did land tour at beginning, flew to Anchorage, stayed at Captain Cook Hotel, very comfortable, breakfast was very good, price was high for Bfast. We took Princess bus to Mt McKinley Princess Lodge, loved the lodge and the food and service was excellent at all restaurants. We saw Mt McKinley both days and had a great view on back deck also nice fire pits in the evening.I rate the rooms as average but clean and met our needs for one night. We went to Denali Princess Lodge the next day and stayed two nights. The lodge was nice and the rooms were better than Mt Mckinley rooms. We did not enjoy the food and service as much as McKinley Lodge but food was okay.We took History tour into Denali National Park and was a good tour, excellent tour guide could tell he enjoyed his job.We saw moose, caribou and dal sheep from a distance. We spent two nights here and was enjoyable. We took Princess Dome(excellent views) Rail to Whittier to ship, this was one of the many highlights of our vacation. We saw beautiful scenery, moose, eagles and our guide on train was excellent, great personality We ate breakfast and lunch in dining car below, food very good, bit pricey. We arrived to ship 6 pm and was raining and cold, took about 45 minutes to board ship, already had cruise cards in hand but think two trains arrived close together,We had to walk in and out of rain as some parts of walkway from train was uncovered. We arrived to room and luggage was in room,Princess did excellent job on our luggage as we left one bag at first stop and did not see or touch it until we were in ship room, also did great job baggage from lodge to lodge made life easy that way.We sailed to Hubbard Glacier the next day was rainy and foggy did not get view of this massive glacier but saw lots icebergs floating water. The next day Glacier Bay National Park was amazing got close enough to get pictures of glacier and saw several calvings. We went to Skagway next day best stop of cruise. We took a small bus tour up into Yukon Territory, saw a bear, moose and so many beautiful mountain and river scapes.Skagway Tour tour guide was very good and gave us a wonderful history of the Gold Rush and took us to many places where the miners went on there quest for gold.We went to Emerald Lake and really recommend seeing this.We went to Juneau and did whale watch tour, very rainy windy and cold on water and boat was swaying the whole trip, hard to take pictures but saw lots of whales, mission accomplished. We went to Ketchikan and the shopping in cool rain all day but was fun.We had a great trip no complaints,Island Princess in very good shape, food was great in all restaurants ,never felt crowded, only had to wait one time for dinner about 10 minutes.Do not hesitate on booking Island Princess as you may have read in other reviews, great crew ,great ship, great time

Cabin Review

Deluxe Oceanview

Cabin O5

We enjoyed cabin was on front of ship, not much motion. We were above theater but never heard any noise inside the cabin, could hear singing in hallway only.We heard anchor one morning but was time to wake up anyway. It was convenient to Princes Theater Horizon Court and we had to walk to midship for MDR and down two decks. This OV cabin was larger than normal, nice window and cabin steward Glenn did an excellent job, tipped him extra as these people work very hard.I would stay in this room again and no hesitations on returning to Island Princess, great crew, great ship.
