We picked this 8 day on the Splendor because of the itinerary. Only San Juan was a repeat for us. At first all I saw were complaints about the decor. Really, you pick a cruise based on the decor of the ship? Yeah, it's pink all right. Looks like a bottle of Pepto blew up. Pink donuts on the walls everywhere. Irony is you can't get a donut, pink or otherwise, at breakfast. I digress.

Yes, the decor leaves a bit to be desired, Yes, it lacks the 2.0 upgrades. However, in my opinion it was one of the cleanest ships I've been on. There are people cleaning, polishing sweeping, mopping everywhere. Keeping a cruise ship clean has to be a monumental task. Many of my fellow passengers are pigs.

The crew is very friendly. I'm used to the bartenders being friendly, knowing me. I pick one bar, drink often and tip well. The entire crew is friendly.

Cabin Review

Aft-View Extended Balcony

Cabin 8M

Typical for Carnival. Spacious balcony but the cabin itself is pretty small. Storage is just adequate. Bathroom is tiny but I do love the shower.
