Travelling in group of 6. Embarkation at Venice went OK. Appearance of interior of ship was beautiful, plenty of marble and mirrors. Dining in the Restaurant was not enjoyable although the wait staff were good. Menu was average, serving portions small. If you wanted water with your meal, you had to pay for it!! What a joke!! No complimentary coffee or tea either. At times service was slow. Dining in the buffet at Breakfast and lunch times was a nightmare. Too crowded and noisy. Service in the Dining room for breakfast was slow. Entertainment in the Theatre was OK but it mainly consisted of dancing and singing by the ship's production group. Cruise Director presented the shows each night in 5 different languages, got a bit boring in the end. Overall the standard of service was poor. Bar staff were slow and everything appeared to be an effort for them. Often we asked for certain drinks from the menu and we were told they didn't have any or they had ran out of stock. Too lazy to get them from another bar. Also prices of drinks quoted on lists does not include gratuities, so you have to add on about 15% to get the real price. Ports of call were OK, excursions on board were very expensive. If you ordered on-line they were cheaper. Unfortunately we have another cruise booked with MSC, see how that goes, but at this stage we will not do MSC again.
Cabin presented OK but small in comparison to other lines. Drawers in wardrobe were narrow.
Spent two nights in Venice before embarking
Ferry from ship to shore. Ship provided ferry at a cost. Walked around Mykonas for a couple of hours and enjoyed the atmosphere
Ship tendered. Went ashore and done own thing
