We choose this cruise because Viking had such good reviews and we liked all the ports. We bought the silver spirits package and we were glad we did as the wine choices on the regular menu were few. Food was very good in general. There was a buffet at breakfast but you could also order off the menu. We rarely ate lunch on the ship as we were mostly out on tours. We loved dining al fresco at the bow but menu was more limited there. Ports were wonderful, we loved Rothenberg au de Rainer.. We took several “paid” tours and all were good. Staff was great especially the main bartender. My only complaint was constantly having to sign for the drinks. A minor irritant. Lots of friendly people and many Europeans on this cruise. Weather was generally good. We would like to try a Viking ocean cruise next trip.
