Recommended by travel agent. The ship allowed an obviously sick man to board and infect numerous passengers and the crew. He should because of that person, I was infected with the flu and missed 80% of the cruise and tours, being confined to may stateroom because of illness caused by the sick individual. It was very unfair. One of the tours had to be cancelled because of a river closure. Viking refunded $40 of the $49 and kept $9. The air reservations were made by incompetent people who don't how to allow for time to get off on plane, go through security and customs and make the connecting flight. We missed the connecting flight and had to wait for a much later flight. We arrived in Budapest after midnight. Viking did not meet us at the airport. They said it was too late (their fault) and could not inconvenience an employee. Only passengers should be inconvenienced. That was the attitude throughout the trip. We had to take a taxi from the airport to the ship and Viking refused to refund the tip we had to pay the taxi driver. This was the worst cruise ship experience I have ever had. I will never travel with Viking and again.
What was good? The food and consideration of the chef for my inability to eat anything solid for days. The chef made me fresh ginger tea, than broth until I could eat solid food. I have high praise for the chef.
Clean but tight quarters.
