This was our 7th cruise with RC and as always we did enjoy our cruise and have booked our 8th cruise... however these are things we did not enjoy...

Dining Room service that felt like the crew didn't have a clue and never had done this before! Always pushing you on your scores for the survey..always reminding you of their names so that you could drop their names on the survey. Total mix up the first night with our reservation. We were suppose to eat with our friends (which had been pre-arranged!) and they gave our table to a man who screamed louder than we did.. They were a party of two at a table for four!! He was still screaming at the head waiter when we were finally seated some 20 minutes later. And why do we have formal night and they let people wear jean shorts ???? What happened to the “washy washy guy”? (the employee who reminded EVERYONE to wash their hands) You install wonderful fancy sinks as you enter the windjammer and NO one was using them!! The “washy washy guy needs his job back!

The food is the same ...every cruise.. I realize you are serving over 4000 people but it was like being at home with the same menu every week. Overall the food is good but boring and repeated again and again. It was my husbands 65th birthday and our friends had arranged with our waiter for a cake...the waiter forgot that day of his birthday but remembered the next night... too little too late!! The only exceptional meal we had was at Chops Grill where we had a lovely lunch served by Luis..A++++

Cabin Review

Spacious Ocean View Balcony

Cabin 2B

As I mentioned above our cabin Steward Richard was fantastic. He got us everything we needed and in a timely fashion. The bed was so soft we asked him for a egg crate and he said they did not have them on the ship but he offered to pad our beds with blankets in hopes of making them more comfortable. (It did help!)Why does a recently refurbished room have beds with dents in them?

This we be the last time we upgrade to a balcony room. Last trip in December on the Anthem our balcony smelled like smoke because we were right above the outside smoking area. This time it smelled like diesel fuel..

Port Reviews

Halifax

Maritime Museum was weak but the Graveyard was fascinating.. Guide was super!

Bar Harbor

The Lobster and tour were fantastic!

Portland (Maine)

Our excursion was cancelled ..it was too HOT for the horses. We did manage to book a city Tour once we left the ship. It was called The Real Portland Tour. The tour guide was a native and gave us a great tour of his city..Told us how to get to a great coffee shop and to go to a beer place called shipyards.
