Port of Miami:
As we disembarked I mentioned to our Captain Kate 'A Perfect Cruise, How Can a Cruise be Better?' What a friendly, focused staff. All areas of food service and entertainment. The excursions offered a wide variety to choose from.
Once Captain Kate announced we had 1200 Brits on board we knew immediately why everyone was quiet and good mannered. We were surrounded by adults and just a few quiet little children having an adult experience, smiling. This ship is definitely not Carnival!
Sheldon was our Cabin Steward. He was friendly and excellent. Cabin was roomy and always clean as a whistle. Balcony was large and provided excellent views of the islands.
This is the port to hang out and people watch, everything is nearby and directly on the beach. We enjoyed sipping 2 for $3 Heineken s at the Peruvian Restaurant and Bar overlooking the beach.
Take a cab to Red Hook for ferry to St. Johns. $4 each way cab drive. Ferry service every half hour $9 each way. Plenty of time to get back to Ship. Bargain!
