We initially chose to cruise at Thanksgiving because Viking was offering great deals. But we quickly fell in love with the Christmas markets in each town and village. We picked up Christmas gifts of glass, and wood and ceramics. We drank way too much gluwein and loved it.

There was a particularly good art museum in Lintz just off of the place where we docked.

We were also completely wowed by the Viking service and the beautifully appointed suite. We quickly made friends and had lovely evenings with good food and entertainment.
