I have always wanted to see the Norwegian Fjords but this line gives you a journey where you are immersed in them as well as the remote and wild nature western Norway the entire trip. Hurtigruten has been servicing western Norway since the 1800’s. The ship never stops more than a couple of hours and often only 15 minutes to transfer freight and autos at remote towns along the coast. Each stop is unique and interesting and the scenery between mesmerizing. We even were able to see the Northern lights a few of the evenings. Excursions requiring time onshore transport you to a stop made later in that day by the ship. The food service, rooms and public areas are excellent considering you aren’t on a huge liner. Our room while small was quiet, very comfortable and maintained well.

If you are looking for a truly unique experience in a unique part of the world I highly recommend booking on this line.
