This was my first carnival cruise, so naturally, you can expect me to be critical. Many of my friends had boasted about the quality of CCL so I decided to give it a try. This cruise was planned for months and I put a great deal of research and learned most of the pros and cons prior to sailing. But once you actually experience it, then you'll know why people posted what they did. I normally sail NCL. SO.. with that said, here we go.

I'll start off with my short pros. The room was absolutely wonderful. We were in 10102 which is a spa balcony. We absolutely LOVED the room. It was spacious and incredibly quiet. Our steward was great too. Another thing I loved was the PEOPLE! I made some pretty good lifelong friends on this cruise. Good people from all walks of life.

The negatives.. from deck 9 down to deck 1, the aft of the ship smells like sewage. Some people said they could smell it in their rooms, others said they just grew used to it. No one should have to grow used to smelling poop when they are on vacation. The seas werent really that rough but in this ship, even on mild ships, YOU FEEL IT. I've never had to take meds for sea sickness but this time, I had to. The ship is old, although remodeled but she is old! In my opinion, she shouldn't make long voyages like that during that time of year. She was rocking left and right ALL THE TIME. Morning, noon, and night. It was awful.
