Princess cruise was always our go to cruise and loved the Regal but they are trending in the wrong direction IMO. Cutbacks on every front - skimping and saving wherever they can. Entertainment was bad, same old and tired stuff - time to invest in new production shows !!! The comedian was the absolute worse ... just NOT funny at all ... embarrassing really. No live bands at the pool. They try and stick the solo steel drum guy everywhere as "LIVE" music - brutal after the first song. Staff on the ship look like they are for the most part all drawn out and at the end of their contract and just putting in time. This cruise was so bland and boring despite our efforts to try and spice it up. The only saving grace was the games shows we went to that were fun, funny and entertainment. Also, as corroborated by many, for some reason the cruise director Lexi just didn't really translate into a good cruise experience.
Inside cabin is old and tired. Beds are so worn and soft and uncomfortable. As for the king bed (2 twins pushed together) there are big deep middle mattress depressions on each of the twins beds and a resulting big hump between the twin beds where they come together ... just brutal. Bathroom and furniture is outdated but the worse is an old musty smelling shower curtain ... cmon princess get with the time and install a fiberglass shower stall instead.
