My family and I chose this cruise because we wanted to cruise southbound from Seward to Vancouver. We liked the ports that were included and the available dates.
Embarkation went very smoothly which was great because we were all very tired (fires north of Anchorage caused us to drive thru the night).
We were in a mini-suite with a balcony on deck 11. We were under the Spa and the cabin was very quiet and close to everything at the front of the ship. With 4 of us in the cabin it was very cozy, the balcony helped us feel like there was additional room. The bathroom was spacious. I didn't care for the bathtub/shower combination. It was a very high step to get into the shower. I think older/handicapped cruisers would have a hard time with this setup.
The cruise port was close to the main area of town and there was a free shuttle that made 10 stops between the port and points of interest.
We were not able to explore much of Vancouver. One of our group had an early flight out and the rest of us stayed at a hotel near the airport. The light rail system was great for getting to the the airport area. We could have ridden it back downtown, but we were all too worn out to muster the energy to do it.
