My wife and I are Elite on Princess and other cruise lines and we think we know what's what. This is a new ship and has that new car smell. The decor has been modernized in the common areas and in our mini suite cabin. The bed is great along with the cabin robes. We love the mini suites with the two TV's and traditional balcony, not like on the Edge that did away with the balcony, the curtain separation between the bed area and the sitting area. Dinning in the anytime restaurant and the Crown Grill and Sabatini's was excellent. Internet was excellent and reasonable. Medallion Class means nothing to us except to open our cabin door. The new small pool in the aft on deck 16 now makes the prior quiet area too busy as folks now set up their deck chairs early like on the main deck but it is quieter. Nice sofas and chairs are gone. Just sit up tables and deck chairs if you can get one. Real problems are the new World Fresh Marketplace. Breakfast is ok but the lunch buffet is terrible. What have they done? Poor food selections...poor quality...poor presentation. Who is responsible for this screw-up? This is a major downgrade. Another major problem for us who enjoy dinning at 8PM is the show times at 6:30 and and 8:30PM. Because of this we missed several shows. Who the heck wants to go to a 6:30PM show when you have been out and about all day. That is unless you came with small children and want to put them to bed early or you are early bird types and the cruise line panders to these folks which is wrong. Not good at all. Ports are just average which is par for much of the Caribbean.
