First I want to say we are grateful to be in the US were we still have some freedom. And we appreciate our contry and all she has to offer. The next information does not in any way share how grateful we are to be alive and well. It’s just our experience based soon to areas. One the COVID life and all that goes with it. Whether your a conformist or no. Two the standard that RCI promotes.

We finally got the opportunity to cruise and had to settle for this ship. We are Dimond. Trouble started when we were assigned a room. When we were, it was a inside room. We booked a balcony. Agent said they “changed the room class after we booked”. So hours of work from our agent finally got it corrected. To a “upgrade” two days before we sallied. Trying to get a PCR test no charge five days before we cruised was another experience going from one clinic to another (they would not answer calls) trying to find a text proved to be a all day experience. CVS was the answer. Got results in 26 hrs. Day of flight on Thursday two days before we cruise was another test. Bahamas Travel Visa was the next challenge. Saw nothing in advance about it so of was shocked to find out we had to frantically complete the process and pay $40 us each before we got on the plan. By the way at this point we are starting to get pitcher that our vaccine means nothing. That the PCR test was one of the three that we were going to have to take before we arrived back home. Anyway I digress. So we finally get to the Bahamas and go to our hotel which was decent enough we use points. Only to find out that downtown Nassau was half empty. And Atlantis require a mask the entire time you were there. I am a anti-mask person so that was a constant issue for me. Anyway we found a great joint on the beach called the tiki hut and had two wonderful meals there on each night we were in Nassau . People there were awesome and highly recommend authentic atmosphere and great food. The day of the cruise went smoothly. We reported to the Hilton where they process us from the Hilton to the interior of the ship within 30 minutes.. First couple of days were awesome to be back on the boat no mask required however we kept hearing about this test that test test test test. I’m sick of Covid and they are ridiculous about it. I just need to go about it without talking about it so much. I don’t need to hear about the 1000 times they clean the boat. Two days of CocoKey we’re nice they have really upgraded the island and even though they charge for all of the good stuff, we found plenty to do that came with a cost of the cruise. Daub4 is where the cruise kind of went downhill. All of a sudden the food came out of the dining room shelves looking like it came off of a if a Buffet line dry and tasteless. I can never criticize the stats there unbelievably kind helpful reassuring positive wonderful people to be around. But it’s obvious that Royal was not up to his standards. The entertainment was phenomenal. That is one area that Royal definitely provided up to their standards. I have not found any vacation I’ve ever been on to have any better entertainment than what we experienced. Phenomenal. After Cozumel which is was a good experience but we’ve been there before so we knew how to navigate the excursions at a reasonable rate and make the most out of the day. Two days at sea were fine typical of thought you were experience on RCI and one advantage was very few people on the boat so plenty of chairs. LOL.Again criticism of the food to get a nice meal you have to pay for it if you’re going to get it in the Windjammer or in the dining room she’s going to get Buffet food. Having somebody survey on the Buffay is not something that I enjoy. I want to get the food that I picked out not the ones I picked out for me and the amounts as well. Again below RCI standards. Play seven at Freeport. Who in the world decided to go to Freeport must have to have their heads examined. I would rather sit down and see them look at an industrial park while we’re parked at the dock with song shopping areas just outside the boat and $30 cab ride one way just to get to downtown. We did five hours of a great tour in Cozumel for $80. Well I hope I’ve given you something to think about when you decide to come on a COVID cruise, that’s what I’m gonna start calling them until they Drop the COVID excuses , we’re not going to be able to enjoy a decent cruise.
