A modest size city with a nice port in walking distance from the sights. Friendly reception from locals answering all your questions. Good shopping (be sure to visit the rooftop garden at Salling's) and some nice architecture if you don't mind walking to the port entry. The historic amalgamation of building called Gamle By can be nice to do if you like a trip down memory lane (like shops from the ...
Took the excursion, Mosegaard Museum and city drive. Not appreciated! Only 30 minutes to the museum, impossible to see everything and the city tour by bus was not really necessary! ...
We loved this place. Instead of the ship's walking tour, we did our own (almost the same but included something that was just meaningful to us). So easy to walk into the little downtown. Plus they had volunteers around the port area, to answer questions. ...
This was an extremely interesting port. We did not expect to discover so much history but were extremely impressed with Aarhus and specifically Den Gamle By (which is a must see and walkable or short taxi ride from the ship). ...

They do have a fresco from the 1300’s. There is not a lot to see around the church so we then walked about another mile to the outside museum Den Gamle. We really enjoyed Den Gamle which are older buildings relocated from around ...
Rushed No time to see anything. We were hurried walking past a few locations. We were told we needed to see more at each location but no time. Then you get back to the port 3-4 hours before the ship leaves ...
